Oldham Woman Superglues Self To Kitchen: Boyfriend Laughs
LOCAL News Story of the Day: The Oldham Evening Chronicle reports on Tina Ramsbottom, 21, of Hathershaw. In attempting to fix a broken object d’art with superglue, she caused the fingers on her left hand to become stuck together. Looking for help she finds her lover. He laughs. He calls her an idiot.
She returns to the kitchen to put the superglue out of harm’s way. She places her right hand on the kitchen work surface and…it sticks fast.

Mooners Hit And Collected By Car
WORD of The Day is delivered by police spokesman Steve Jones who is talking to media on the matter of a mooner struck by a car on an Australian road:
“Five youths, aged 19 to 20 years, were in the middle of the road with their pants down around their ankles, mooning passing vehicles The first vehicle was able to take evasive action, but another vehicle travelling approximately 400m behind has collected one of the youths.”

China Orders Media To Report Deadly Train Crash As A Time Of Love And Unity
t. More than 43 are dead after two bullet trains collided in the south of China. The media is instructed:
Chinese officials have instructed the media not to sensationalise the accident, and fresh instructions sent to reporters yesterday said: “Do not report the accident too frequently. Report moving stories about people donating blood or taxi drivers not taking fares from victims. Do not investigate the cause of the accident.”
The instructions added: “The name of the Wenzhou accident will be ‘The 23 July Wenzhou Line Railway Accident’. From now on, use the headline: ‘Great Love in the Face of Great Tragedy’. On television, provide the relevant information, but be careful of the music used.”

Local News Reporter Gets Stuck In Storm Drain Like Jared Medeiros
JARED Medeiros is the 21-year-old stuck head-first in an 18-inch storm drain along Hale Aloha Way in Ceres, USA.
He had been drinking a little. He says he had been attacked and robbed by a gang – a mysterious gahn that had dropped his keys, mobile phone and cash in the drain. He had then attempted to retrieve them.

IT’S bad enough that Arnold Schwarzenegger had it away with the maid and worse still that he didn’t use contraception, leaving him with a secret love child which he kept under wraps for over a decade. Then, Arnie’s wife – Maria Shriver – found out and his marriage, understandably, dissipated into the ether.

Anti-Helmet Campaigning Biker Dies of Head Injuries From Crash
RIP Philip A. Contos of Parish, N.Y.. He was protesting about the mandatory use of safety helmets when he crashed his motorbike and died.
Mr Contos was riding with American Bikers Aimed Towards Education on Route 11 near Syracuse,when he died. The police say the dead man “would have survived if he had been wearing a Department of Transportation approved helmet“.

Teen Singing ‘Throb, Sean Kingston, Critical After Tackling Bridge On Jetski With Head
ADULTS may not be familiar with the name Sean Kingston, but the rampant childbots of the internet are. They love him. They love him a bit like they love Justin Bieber, but not as much because Bieber is much thinner and whiter than Sean Kingston.
Either way, he capture the hearts of youngsters with his hit, ‘Beautiful Girls’, where the junior crooner declared that they made him feel “suicidal“, which is peculiar for a young man with all that life of beautiful girls ahead of him.
However, here comes the awkward twist. See, Kingston is in a critical condition after crashing his jet ski into a Miami Beach bridge. Sean and a female passenger were injured when they careered into the Palm Island Bridge over the weekend.

New Zealand Trucker Impaled On Pressurised Air Hose Blows Up
STEVEN McCormack is a sort-of real life Michelin Man. McCormak is the Kiwi trucker who had fell on an air hose cauaing the brass nozzle to break and inject pressurised air at 100lb/sq in into his buttocks.
The accident occured While he was a truck stop at Opotiki on the North Island. Says McCormack, 48, from his hospital bed in Whakatane, speaking to the Whakatane Beacon:
“I felt the air rush into my body and I felt like it was going to explode from my foot. I was blowing up like a football… it felt like I had the bends, like in diving. I had no choice but just to lay there, blowing up like a balloon.”

Builder Gets Shovel Stuck Up His Anus
MICHAEL Mayer, 31, is the German builder who slipped from his ladder and landed on the handle of a shovel. The full 20 inches went up his backside.
In hospital, the handle is removed with the aid of an angle grinder, unguents and anesthetic.

Newcastle Woman Bites Off Lover’s Testicles
MARIA Topp, 43, is accused of biting of her lover’s testicles. Mr Martin Douglas, 45, underwent emergency surgery to have his gonads reattached.
Police in Newcastle says Mr Douglas called 999 but the operator had trouble deciphering what he was saying.

Medic Stole Accident Victim’s Severed Foot To Train Dog
ANORAK spots Cynthia “Cindy” Economou. She’s a paramedic with the St. Lucie County Fire District. She’s attending crash scene on Interstate 95 in September 2008. That’s her making off with Karl Lambert’s severed foot.
Lambert is now suing her. She says he took the foot to help train her body recovery dog. She says:
“It was an unrecognizable mass of flesh. It wasn’t a clean cut. You couldn’t even recognize it as a foot. … If I had thought it was somehow reattachable and usable, I would have gone to my commander.”

Man Hit In Face By Pole Dancer’s Shoe Sues For Dental Work
JAKE Quagliaroli, 34, says that while watching a woman pole dance at PT’s Showclub in Lawrence, Indianapolis, her shoe flew off and hit him in the mouth. Accidentally.
As his lawyer Jonathan Little states:
“He was hit by a stiletto with a very solid heel. When he was hit, he was bleeding from the mouth. He has quite a significant amount of dental work that needs to be done. He has veneers right now and he’s possibly going to need a root canal. His dentist said the treatment he has right now is a temporary fix.”

Man Uses Loyalty Card To Repair Child’s Swollen Genitals
ROSS McBride, 23, from Clydebank, used his loyalty card to cut a child’s genitals to “reduce swelling” after he “accidentally” kicked the boy with a football at a residence in Glasgow back ion February 2008.
The toddler needed 11 stitches. He has made a decent recovery.

Chicken Saves Dog From Drowning
WHEN Nutty the eight-week-old Jack Russell puppy fell into the garden pond, John Greene from Greystones, Co Wicklow, brought him back to life with a kiss.
Man kisses dog, would be a news item itself. But this one has more. The 42-year-old Irishman was alerted to the exhausted animal sinking to the bottom of the pond when chickens he keeps in his backyard kicked up a commotion. Lassie… Flipper…Skipper…
What that, Feathers?

Feathers: Bock,bock,bock,bock,bock,begowwwwk
Nutty’s stuck in the pond and he’s gonna drown?!

Texting Woman Who Fell Into Fountain Sues Mall: Cathy Marrero Does Seinfeld
DID you laugh when you saw texting Cathy Marrero tumble into the fountain at a shopping mall? If you did, then shame on you. And you’d best get a lawyer because Cathy Marrero is not one to be laughed at. No siree.
The 49-year-old is not amused. So. shs’s going to sue. She will begin by suing the mall in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. She says the staff who saw her fall into the fountain laughed. How very dare they! Says she:
“I saw the water coming at me, I could see the pennies and nickels at the bottom of the fountain and then I was in it.'”
Mrs Marrero seems to have a more sophisticated sense of humour than mere pratt falls. They may be ok for Charlie Chaplin, but this woman is one for detail. Seinfeld would consider the nickle a golden element in any retelling of the incident.

Bus Driver Resigns After He Murders Snowman At University Of Illinois: Video
A BUS driver has murdered a man on the University of Illinois campus in Urbana. A snowman.
A video was taken of the driver deliberately hitting the snowman stood in the road. The video – ‘Insane Bus Driver Brutally Murders Snowman’ – was posted on YouTube.
Says Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District spokeswoman Jan Kijowski:
“Whenever an incident occurs, we try to use it as a teaching opportunity to remind the operators what are the safe and good choices that can be made.”
