Free speech for Anjem Choudary: Twitter backed the Devil but banned Milo Yiannopoulos
So, farewell, Anjem Choudary, the UK’s leading gurning face of Islam. Choudary took over from hook-handed Abu Hamza and ‘Tottenham Taliban’ Omar Bakri as a the country’s Islamist-in-residence. But his carer is near its end.
Britain’s most controversial hate preacher, is today behind bars after finally being convicted of terrorism offences. The 49-year-old firebrand cleric, who has helped radicalise a generation of would be terrorists, was found guilty of inviting support for a banned organisation after swearing an oath of allegiance to Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil).
The Sun sees it as a victory for good over evil. The ‘Devil’ is locked up:

Social media giants had the last word on Anjem Choudary’s online posts, even after he was arrested for inviting support for Islamic State.
British authorities made repeated efforts to get his Twitter posts and YouTube videos taken down after an oath of allegiance to the Caliphate surfaced online with the preacher’s name on it, jurors at the Old Bailey were told during his trial in July.
But they had no power to force corporations to remove material from the internet even if it was believed to have fallen foul of UK anti-terror laws.
Choudary was not censored by censorious Twitter. Good. Free speech means just that. No buts.

The jury took less than three days in July to find Choudary and his co-accused Mizanur Rahman, 32, unanimously guilty of inviting support for a terrorist organisation. Choudary and Rahman were found guilty on 28 July, but for legal reasons the verdicts could only be reported on Tuesday.
Choudary’s key lieutenant, Siddhartha Dhar, was arrested at the same time as him in police raids in 2014. Dhar later skipped bail and fled to Syria with his young family, where he began taunting the UK authorities with a series of pictures and online posts.
The Mail says Choudary has been “nailed”, which is another way of saying crucified.
In other news, Twitter banned Milo Yiannopoulos; it did not ban Anjem Choudary. Remember when Twitter was the “free-speech wing of the free-speech party”?
Welling, Kent’s Anjem Choudary Helps The BBC Sell The War On Terror
THE grandstanding and patently envious Muslim Council of Britain says the BBC was wrong to give Welling, Kent’s Anjem Choudary a spot on the BBC Radio 4’s Today. This, they said, gave the idiotic preacher “the oxygen of publicity”. The BBC has a big commitment to multicultural diversity, so if it wants to show a laughable Islamist benefits mullah speaking for the Islamist Benefits Mullah community, then so be it. So long as they give equal airtime to Nazi Benefit Vicars, all’s fair.
You could also argue – and we’d suggest successfully – that getting Mr Choudray and his bearded loons on the telly to tell us that the infidel must die is pretty much the best way of getting the great unwashed to believe in the War on Terror. Don’t restrict him to a segment on the Today show; let him present the thing.

Banning ‘Extremists’ From France – What Would Voltaire Say?
AS a believer in ‘the domination of the world by Islam’ and a supporter of capital punishment for ‘whoever insults the message of Mohammed’, Anjem Choudary may not be the kind of guy most of us would have over for dinner. But in banning the so-called ‘preacher of hate’ from entering France, the authorities there must have got Voltaire, that staunch defender of freedom of expression, spinning in his grave.

Islam4UK Renamed Gary Glitter Appreciation Society
ANJEM Choudary’s Islam4UK will be banned under counter-terrorism laws, says Home Secretary Alan Johnson. Islam4UK is also known as al-Muhajiroun, al-Ghurabaa and The Saved Sect.
Says Mr Johnson:
“I have today laid an order which will proscribe al-Muhajiroun, Islam4UK, and a number of the other names the organisation goes by.”
Already the group is believed to be re-naming itself to stay a step ahead of the rules Names under consideration are – some names are of old clubs no longer in existence:

Media And Politicans Love Anjem Choudary
ANJEM Choudary, who was being billed as the Sun’s Hate Mail Cleric, is now offered a new nickname in the Mirror. He is the “BOOZER OF HATE.”
The Mail leads with the “backlash” over the “fanatics’ march” through Wootton Bassett, or as Jon Gaunt and Choudary agree to call it “Wootton Basset.”
The Mirror’s lead picture of Choudary chugging back a drink in his youth is not much news. Indeed, there is not much news at all. Gordon Brown’s spokesman says:
“We do not yet know what his plans are.”

Anjem Choudary In Line For Jon Gaunt’s Sun Column: Wootton Bassett Awaits
GRIM news for Gordon Brown, who on the point of making storied letter writer – Hate Mail Cleric – his letter writing Czar and supporting his bid to replace Terry Wogan as letters presented on the BBC Points of View, the man goes and does a Jacqui Janes.
Choudary wants to march through Wootton Bassett carrying coffins. Only he writes on his blog:

‘Hate Mail Cleric’ Anjem Choudary On Big Brother And Being Gordon Brown’s Letter Writing Czar

Freedom For the Islamic Republic Of Southall, Sharia Capital Of Britain
WHEN Islam takes over the UK, Anjem Choudary says the capital should be in Southall.
Southall as the UK’s administrative district has much going for it, and could well become the UK’s answer to Canberra, a place as far removed from romanticised visions of sun-bleached Australia as you can get without actually being a foreign country.
Says Choudary:
“We will rise up. We will rise up, my dear Muslims. One day we shall have Sharia here. And who know, maybe even Southall can be the capital of the Islamic state when we conquer it.”
Can Southall be conquered? Can a veil be drawn around it?

Dear Anjem, All We Want For Christmas Is Omar Barki
ANJEM Choudary tries and tries and – boy – how he tries. But he’s no Omar Bakri.
Granted, he has the glasses and the he has the beard, but both are too neat, too tidy, too contrived.
“MAD MULLAH RANTS: BAN EVIL XMAS,” screams the Star’s front-page headline. The “pathway to hellfire” is lined with tinsel and covered in shards of Christmas tree leaves.
Christmas is evil, says the mad mullah. And a million housewives agree.
If Christmas is evil “Why does he have a beard like Santa?” asks the Star. Few would care to get close enough to Choudary to sit on his knee and give that beard a hearty tug. Would it come away in the hand revealing the shy feminine-skinned man beneath?

Poppy Cocks: Gaunt and Choudary Need To Remember
“VILE HATE PREACHER INSULTS OUT POPPIES,” screams the Star.
The Sun cocks an ear to the West. It picks up its hotline to Omar Bakri. The Sun’s dial-a-loon denies all knowledge.
“Not, me, guv,” chimes Bakri, Beirut Hackney Cab Driver 5641b. “But I wish I’d have thought of it. While you’re on the blower can I wish death on Pudsey Bear instead?” Save it, Bakri.
Back to the Star, and Anjem Choudary says our poppies are crap. Our poppies aren’t even real poppies. Our Great British poppies smell of NOTHING.
