MUCH hoo-hah in the media about Sarah Palin’s version of history in the matter of Paul Revere’s ride to US emancipation. Less, however, has been said about Barack Obama’s address to troops at Fort Drum – in which he recalled meeting a dead man:
Throughout my service, first as a senator and then as a presidential candidate and then as a President, I’ve always run into you guys. And for some reason it’s always in some rough spots.
First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. Obama Will Do His Own Tweets – Party Warns Him Not To Twitpic His Erections
NOW that he needs the votes, Barack Obama is promising to tweet more – himself. After a long period where even the underlings hired to tweet for his official account seemed to get bored by their own copied-and-pasted press releases, Obama is back on the social media warpath and is going to tell us some stuff, on Twitter.
While his speeches were widely admired, the Obama tweets – and Facebook updates – have been much less than inspiring. In fact, they’ve been really dull. Will Obama himself really manage to liven them up?

Americans like their leaders to be above average in looks and charisma, have telegenic hair and a nice goofy grin. They like their leaders to be within reach, or, as you might put it, within shooting distance.
You might expect, then, that gaffes would be plentiful. They are. You might also expect that anyone hopeful of being President should come over as being too smart. Which brings us to Sarah Palin. Obama’s State Visit To UK Photos And Gaffes: 2008 And A Musical Hiccup
IT’S Day 2 of Barack Obama’s trip to the UK. Anyone watching on the BBC will know that the special relationship is now an essential relationship, The One thinks it is 2008 – he dated his signature in a guestbook at Westminster Abbey “2008” – and has his own background music – he toasted “The Queen“, thus triggering the Scots Guards to play the national anthem, and then began quoting Shakespeare.
This, says the BBC, is not a sign that Obama is as stooopid as, say, George Bush, but the victim of a “hiccup“.

NEW York’s Yiddish newspaper Di Tzeitung airbrushed Hillary Clinton – her with the cough – from the that Situation Room photo of Barack Obama and cohorts watching Osama bin Laden being killed (or not).
They did this because the readers “believe that women should be appreciated for who they are and what they do, not for what they look like, and the Jewish laws of modesty are an expression of respect for women, not the opposite”.

Obama’s Long Birth Certificate Endorsed By Official Cervical Mucus Plug Seal
BARACK Obama has decided to show you his birth certificate. To further squash claims that he was born somewhere other then in the US, the President will be using his cervical mucus plug on official seals. Obama will then revisit his birth by actually attempting to crawling inside his dead mother and be reborn, literally, in a TV address.

New York Times Scooped By The Onion Over Obama’s Singing
FIRST the New York Times was scooped by news that Barack Obama sings in the shower. Then the paper of record’s fact-checkers got to work and got more upset:

DONALD Trump may yet be President of the USA as he attacks Obams on Libya, a place overrun by Gaddafi’s rapists.
BILLIONAIRE businessman Donald Trump, who is flirting with a White House run, … said that by failing to move more decisively in its foreign policy, ”this country is a laughing stock throughout the world”…
“Look at Libya. Look at this mess,” an exasperated Trump said.

So what should I think about this? If it had been my call, I wouldn’t have gone into Libya. But the reason I voted for Obama in 2008 is because I trust his judgment. FIRST the good news: Barack Obama is not the first American leader heading to the Middle East to overthrow a local nutter. The last one was called George Bush – and Obama is most definitely not him. No way. This ain’t no Iraq. This is Libya.
