Brighton’s Green mayor pays £70 taxi fare when electric car fails
“WE’RE happy with the performance of the electric car so far. Early indications suggest it works well around the city and may be making savings for us in fuel costs,” says Brighton and Hove mayor Bill Randall, a leading Green.Mr Randall was referring to the electric Renault Fluence ZE he’s been road testing. As he said:
“I think it sends out a good message…This is great news, not just for the environment, but for the taxpayer too as the electric car won’t cost them a penny.”
