Seagull Steals Camera And Records Flight Over Cannes (Video)

THE Seagull stole a video camera and then took off over Cannes in the South of France. The camera was still recording. Stephen Seagull (oh, yes) then lands on a building. And somehow the man who owns the camera got it back. And then this man posted the video of YouTube under the headline “Seagull stole GoPro”.

The inference is that the seagull stole the camera because it was a mini GoPro (price on application).

Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff Present Plastic Surgery Face Swaps

CAN that be Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff, former French television star brothers, attending the Chopard 150th birthday party event during the 63rd Cannes Film Festival, France? The Bogdanoff boys were pretty good at sums so got a job on the telly as the photogenic faces of science shows, the most popular being Temps X (Time X). It ran from 1979 to 1989. Since then they have mutated into what you see before you. And it is odd that all plastic surgery fans end up looking alike. Of all the faces to chose from, Messers Nip ‘n’ Tuck use the same one over and over. Are they on commission? Here’s a look-alike gallery:

Mark Hamill Does Star Trek In A Boat For Darth Vader’s Black Pearl

IT’S Star Trek’s Mark Hamill announcing his new film The Black Pearl, which he co-wrote and will direct, during the Cannes Film Festival in France. Mark Hamill… You know, the guy from Biker Mice From Mars? The Pierre Fluffbottom? Yep, the guy with the laser… Lasterhawk’s Bob Sheridan. The guy they said would go on to achieve big things again after Stripperella

Yeah, him from Star Wars (Trekkies, calm down – nannoo-nanoo) is part of a film based on a comic book called The Black Pearl. No, not the 1934 film, nor the The Black Pearl you saw in 1977, nor Tintin’s story, nor Johnny Depp’s boat in Pirates of the Caribbean. This is a new Black Pearl, in which a young blade takes to the seas in a space boat and against all the odds sees off Varth Daver, a baddie with emphysema. Sheesh, some of you live in the past…

Mallika Sherawat’s Python Will Swallow You Whole: Hisss Does Cannes Pictures

LAST time we saw Mallika Sherawat she was upstaging Angelina Jolie in mesh. This time she upped her game and wore a 22ft, 600lb python to promote her new film Hisss at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes. It’s all suggestive stuff, not unaided by the film’s tagline:

She’s sexy… venomous… and she’ll swallow you whole…

Sherawat will soon tread the red carpet for another movie, this one called Love, Barack, a romantic comedy set during Barack Obama’s campaign for the US presidency.
Bring a snake for the great shark hunt… (The snake’s name? Rudy)

In Pictures Exclusive: Sacha Baron Cohen Launches New Character In Cannes

NO, it’s not Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest character, Nige, a 1960s-obsessed mini cab driver from Melton Mowbray. It’s Liam Gallagher at a photocall to promote his newly formed production company, In 1productions, which will develop a film about The Beatles, at the Gray D’Albion beach, Cannes. Unless it is Sacha Baron Cohen, in which case, Heather Mills is shoo-in to play Penny Lane, the woman who made it all possible…

In Pictures: Russell Crowe’s Middle Aged Robin Hood Woos Milf Marian

TO the Cannes screening, then, of Robin Hood, Ridley Scott’s attempt to turn the robber of rich men into a Middle Aged James Bond. And who better to play Middle Aged Bond than middle aged Russell Crowe? In this episode, Robin gets of with Milf Marian and sticks it to loads of Frenchies on beaches. It’s like a Club 18-30 theme holiday but without the dramatic tension and vomit. And then there’s the tagline: “Robin Hood- Licence To Quill.” Enough already…
