Bishop Of Blackburn Says Planes Damage ‘God’s Planet’: Flies To Turkey (Twice)
THE Rt Rev Nicholas Reade is off on trip to Turkey. The Bishop of Blackburn has arranged for 30 people to fly in. This is the same bishop who opined that airliners are the “most polluting form of travel the world has ever known”. He hates the “indiscriminate” use of planes. Flying is “damaging God’s planet”.
He’ll be flying from Manchester to Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines flight. He will visit the ruins of early Christian communities including Ephesus, Miletus and Loadicea. He knows the route – he flew out to plane the itinerary.
