The Coca Cola Swastika

coca cola lucky swastika

IN 1925, the Swastika was the symbol of go-ahead, thrusting futurism.  Coca Cola tapped into the feel-good factor with its Swastika watch fob bearing the legend: “Drink Coca Cola five cents in bottles.” The fob was 4cm squared and made in brass.

Woman’s death linked to her daily diet of 2.2 gallons of Coca Cola

NATASHA Harris, 30, has died after consuming up to 2.2 gallons of Coca Cola a day. Every day. Ms Harris, 30, of Invercargill in New Zealand’s South Island, died February 2010. The coroner, Mr David Crerar, that the “extreme” amounts of Coke played a role in the cardiac arrhythmia that finally killed her.

He calculated that drinking 10 litres delivered 970mg of caffeine, and more than 1kg of sugar a day:

“I find that when all the available evidence is considered, were it not for the consumption of very large quantities of Coke by Natasha Harris, it is unlikely that she would have died when she died and how she died.”

JOHN Stewart asked Boris Johnson to expland on mayor Bloomberg’s attack on fizzy drinks. Would Boris place greater penalties on an ounce of marijuana or a large Coca Cola?

London Mayor Johnson has said:

I honestly don’t yet know if the New York mayor, Mike Bloomberg, is right to be banning big cups of sugary drinks. I have no idea whether Coca-Cola has a case when it claims there is absolutely no connection between children guzzling sugary drinks and children getting fat. What I can say with confidence is that we in the West have a fatness problem…

If we could reduce the consumption of sugary drinks, and release some children from the captivity of fatness, might that not be worth exploring?

To our minds, the Chanel designer looked like he tastes of essence of cloves over a base notes of wet rubber sheeting. But it turns out the man in the know is blend of vegetable flavourings, sugary substances, cola extract, bubbles and aluminium.

Says the bottle:

“The designer affixes his style and his famous silhouette on the bottle and delivers an exclusive creation with chic lines and also a unique box in limited edition, accompanied with a bottle-opener discreetly hidden in a drawer.”

Buy it via Colette for $60. Goes with th Karl love doll – look for it in our gallery below:
