Dead man too big for fridge left to rot on mortuary table for six days
WHEN David Gardner (left) died at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on 1 March, the staff left his body on the mortuary table for six days.
Mr Gardner was, reportedly, too large to fit into the mortuary fridge. So. He was left on the table. In the warm.
Mr Gardner’s wife Elsie says the body became so badly decomposed plans for an open casket at his funeral were undone.
