DERRICK Bird is dead. Twelve other people are dead. Murdered by Derrick Bird. Les Hunter is alive. Like Don Reed he was shot. Mr Hunter was shot in the face by gunman Derrick Bird during his rampage across west Cumbria. Bird had beckoned Les Hunter over to his car and, as the grandfather of two went to see what he wanted, he shot him in the face and back.
