Dying Newspaper Saves Women Trapped In Patio Chair
LOCAL News Story of The Day takes us to Liberty Hill, Texas, where Evelyn Rogers, 75, has become trapped in her garden furniture. It is early evening and Rogers sits on her chair. She spots a length of plastic sticking out from under the seat. She gives it a tug. The chair rips. She tumbles through the hole. The chair’s aluminium frame closes on her. She is stuck.
Evelyn’s chihuahua Lucy looks on.
Says Evelyn:
“I screamed until I couldn’t scream anymore. I told myself I couldn’t scream anymore because it wouldn’t do any good because there were no real close neighbors.”
