What the ‘hateful octogenarian’ did to get 40 days in jail
The greatest Easter story of all time? Maybe:
WATFORD – Justice prevails. Harry Brenton, the hateful octogenarian, who patiently filled chocolate eggs with dog faeces before planting them in the village green where the Easter egg hunt was meant to take place, has been jailed for 40 days.
Patiently.

Videos of children being terrified by the Easter Bunny
Did the Easter Bunny bring you the egg you wanted?
Not everyone loves the Easter Bunny. On YouTube there are lots of videos of well-meaning / unhinged parents scaring the crap out of their children by dressing up in bunny suits.

Daily Star replaces ‘banned’ Easter eggs with chocolate balls
PC Chocolate makers ban ’Easter’ from eggs. CHOCOLATE firms have banned the word “Easter” from their eggs to avoid offending non-Christians…
Really? Are Rastafarians that upset by ‘Easter’?
Cadbury is now selling a Dairy Milk “Egg Hunt Pack” while Nestlé advertises Aero’s “chocolate egg with bubbly bars”.
No mention of the word Easter on either of those treats.
Sainsbury’s has also joined the political correctness trend by selling its own brand “milk chocolate egg”. The E-word is apparently so offensive…
The E-word. We get the F-word, the N-word and the C-word, but the E-word is a new one. One day ever letter will get its own taboo word.
This prompted “angry and frustrated” campaigner David Marshall to set up the Meaningful Chocolate Company, in which his Fairtrade charity “Real Easter Egg” puts the religious message on to the packaging.
As epithets go “angry and frustrated” is pretty good. But does the anger create good eggs? Is anger and frustration what Jesus would have wanted? Says Mr Marshall:
“It’s deeply disappointing and shameful that some of the biggest companies in the country are censoring the centuries’ old tradition. It shows they’re insensitive and uncomfortable with the Christian faith.”
Deep into the story we hear from Nestlé, whose spokeswoman “argued”:
“There has been no deliberate decision to drop the word Easter from our products.”
A Cadbury spokeswoman “stressed”:
“We do not have a policy to drop Easter from our eggs.”
So, no policy to remove the word Easter from eggs, then.
On the Sainsbury’s website, the products desription for the Cadbury’s eggs tells us:
Easter egg trail pack. This fun Easter egg hunt pack contains 10 Cadbury milk chocolate hollow eggs and a bag of treatsize Mini Eggs as the main prize
On the Cadbury’s website, we get:
Such are the facts.

Police arrest Easter Bunny for distributing meth
One more reason to mistrust the Easter Bunny: Police in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, parade one Easter Bunny stuffed with $30,000 worth of meth.
If there was one holiday creation you’d suspect of drugs dealing, it would be the Easter Bunny.
Tahlequah Police Chief Nate King tells media:
“We’ve intercepted narcotics in the mail before. The Easter Bunny I thought was a strange touch. A hole was cut into the bottom of the rabbit and we found quite the surprise waiting inside. There were two condoms and meth stuffed inside the rabbit. It’s not the prize egg that we want in Tahlequah. We didn’t know who at the home would receive the meth or if they knew what they were receiving. We got a plain white van, drove to the residence and served an anticipatory warrant on the resident.”

Children finds grenade on Easter Egg hunt
THE children on an Easter egg hunt in the woods beside the village of Holford in Somerset have found a harder egg than usual. Not last year’s stock, but a hand grenade.
Hunt organiser Stuart Moffatt says:
“I was shocked. It’s the last thing you could possibly want to find with children about. We were beginning to count the eggs up at the end of the hunt and I saw a young boy, around three-years-old, standing on an object. On closer inspection we realised it looked like a hand grenade.”

Easter Eggs Are Banned In Schools: The Spring Sphere Lie
IN Seattle, America, the kids are being told that EasterEggs are to be called “Spring Spheres”.
Fox News reports on a 16-year-old “local private high school sophomore” named “Jessica” who called a radio show to reveal that while helping a third-grade teacher at an unnamed school she was told to called call Easter eggs “Spring Spheres”.
Says Jessica:
“At the end of the week I had an idea to fill little plastic eggs with treats and jelly beans and other candy, but I was kind of unsure how the teacher would feel about that… I went to the teacher to get her approval and she wanted to ask the administration to see if it was okay. She said that I could do it as long as I called this treat ‘spring spheres.’ I couldn’t call them Easter eggs… But the third graders had other ideas. When I took them out of the bag, the teacher said, ‘Oh look, spring spheres’ and all the kids were like ‘Wow, Easter eggs.”

In Pictures: The Filipinos Crucifixion And Immaculate Conception (Gory Be)
EASTER is the time to forget about the Pope, sexual abuse and paedophiles and think instead of chocolate, Romans, Mel Gibson and having your hands hammered with nails to get the full Easter experience. Anyone who wants to make like Jesus should get to the Philippines, where pretending you’re Jesus is all the rage. It’s a bit like the school play, only the players draw lots. ‘Judas’ gets the cash. ‘Jesus’ gets to bleed. ‘Eric Idle’ gets to sing. And mums and dads get proud…

In Pictures: Good Friday In Westminster Abbey, Holy Island And Folkestone
IT’S Easter. And that means the Good Friday procession as it passes along Victoria Street towards Westminster Cathedral in central London. In Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, pilgrims walk with crosses on the final leg of the Northern Cross pilgrimage to Holy Island. In Folkestone, Kent, members of Churches United place the third of three crosses at the peak of Sugar Loaf Hill after their annual Good Friday Procession of the Cross through the town. And everywhere else the Easter Bunny hops about on a diet of sugared chocolate… Oh, and happy Passover.

Jessica Simpson’s Thought For Easter
HEREUNDER is Jessica Simpson’s Thought For Easter. One thought – but itsi worth remembering:
Why do we let the sun SET with its beauty, then find ourselves ugly.*
Didn’t God, whoever he may be to you, create both? If a sunset is beautiful, then so are we.
Love yourself morning, noon, and night. Sunrise. Sunset.
