IN Russia, Ekaterina Grinkovskayaa, a political candidate for the Dumas, the legislative chamber of parliament, has been spotted on a Russian social networking site wrapped around a pole dancer’s pole.

The legend on her campaign poster, pictured below, reads:

“Who is your candidate?”

Does this make her more popular. And if so, will Gordon Brown try it?
