BARCLAYCARD In 2003, chief executive of Barclays, Matt Barrett was addressing a Commons Treasury select committee. Now moved on from his post. Mr Barrett said he did not sue credit cards “because they were "simply too expensive". Adding: "I do not borrow on credit cards. I have four young children. I give them advice not to pile up debts on their credit cards." Thankfully, not everyone listens to Mr Barrett and there are enough fools using credit cards as easy debt to make Barclaycard rich.
