Ford seizes domain name of reputable Lancashire company Newfordcarparts.co.uk
NEWFORD Parts Centre, Abbey Village, Lancashire, sells car parts. Ford was unhappy that the company was listed on the internet as Newfordcarparts.co.uk. So. Ford sued. And won. Ford motors says Newford Parts Centre was “trading off its fame, history and reputation to boost its own business”. The company had been trading on that web address for 14 years online, and 40 years offline.

GM Ford And Crysler Keep The American Dream Burning
THREE CEOs – Rick Wagoner of GM, Alan Mulally of Ford, and Robert Nardelli of Chrysler – are supporting the beleaguered trade in private jets by refusing to travel by anything else.
As ABC news reports:
THE CEOs of the big three automakers flew to the nation’s capital yesterday in private luxurious jets to make their case to Washington that the auto industry is running out of cash and needs $25 billion in taxpayer money to avoid bankruptcy. Even as their companies fail, Ford and GM CEOs continue lavish lifestyles.
Hats off to the trio for reminding the politicos wrestling with the economic crisis what it is Americans are fighting for. It’s the American dream, stoopid.

Lottery Winner Buys UK Bank
IANTHE Fullager stuffed her winning lottery ticket down her bra. She is “BOOM AND BUST” (Sun), and being wooed by the banking sector.
Fullager of Fullager & Bingley Brothers now has more money than the entire banking sector combined, and as such a commands the Sun’s front page.
“I wanted to keep my ticket where I thought no-one would look for it,” says the 18-year-old, who may need to reconsider her hiding places give her new levels of attractiveness.
