Ford Open Prison Riot Photos: The Benny Hill Special
FORD prison burns. Well, bits of it do. At the open jail near Arundel, West Sussex, prisoners responded badly to a call to have them breathalysed. Contraband booze will not be tolerated. So. Here’s the inmates smashing the place up instead. It is all deeply serious stuff.
Mark Freeman, of the Prison Officers Association says the sight of officers chasing inmates for breath tests:
“Staff have been running around trying to breathalyse prisoners, it’s been reminiscent of the end scenes of The Benny Hill Show, the only thing missing was the music.”
