FRED Dibnah is now a museum. The Bolton News puts the opening of Fred Dibnah in understated tones. You can’t help but think that Dibnah, one of the top half dozen TV steeplejacks, would have approved:

A flat cap adorns the coffin of Bolton steeplejack Fred Dibnah as it arrives at Bolton parish church for his funeral. Crowds line the streets of Bolton as the coffin of Fred Dibnah with his trademark flat cap is carried on a steam engine during the funeral procession in Bolton. The colourful and eccentric television personality died aged 66 on November 6 after a three-year battle with cancer.
