Belfast Telegraph: “Manchester United manager David Moyes told: Go and buy Gareth Bale”

Manchester United told David Moyes yesterday that he can break the British transfer record this summer if he so desires.

The club’s American owners are happy to show they mean business by backing the new manager with a ‘marquee signing’ before the transfer window closes.

And for Moyes, that means carte blanche to land Welsh wing wizard Gareth Bale, even if it means having to spend an eye-watering £60m on the Spurs player.

The National Turk magazine say Gareth Bale is heading to Manchester United. According to the magazine’s English website:

Gareth Bale will  arrival next month  with the Tottenham Hotspurs winger  rumoured to have cost the Red Devils side £85 million, though they have insisted that the actual fee is below this figure. Regardless, it is very probable they have broken the United’s Premier League transfer record, which was set by last year Van Persie transfer.
