George Zimmerman’s gun is an American artefact: a museum should buy it

When George Zimmerman shot dead unarmed Trayvon Martin, America wept and bled. Zimmerman claimed self-defence and was found not guilty. Now comes news:

Zimmerman Sells Gun Used In Trayvon Martin Death

The gun belongs to the shooter.

Maybe a museum will buy it. In 2015, the BBC reported:

An assault rifle used in seven unsolved murders has been discovered on public display at the Imperial War Museum. BBC Panorama has learned that investigators re-examining paramilitary murders in Northern Ireland found the gun on display in an exhibit on the Troubles. The families of the murder victims had previously been told by the police that they had disposed of the weapon… Forensic tests conducted in the 1990s showed the rifle was one of two weapons used in an attack on a Belfast betting shop in 1992. Five Catholics, including a 15-year-old boy, were killed in the attack on the Ormeau Road by Protestant paramilitaries. The rifle has also been linked to the unsolved murders of two other men in 1988.

Is the Zimmerman gun an American artefact? He says:

“I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American firearm icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012.”

We will know its value by its sale price. Zimmerman can sell it – but let’s see who buys it and for how much.

Zimmerman And DMX To Fight: Race Wars For Profit

George Zimmerman

IN America, race is a particularly thorny topic (mainly because the Americans don’t have a recognised class system yet, because they’re still working on the old ‘if you’re not white, you’re considered black’ system). The police come under heavy criticism for profiling People of Colour and the justice system seems to be two-tiered – the white and/or wealthy get this treatment, everyone else can whistle.

When George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin, America (and in turn, the world), erupted. Worse still, was that Zimmerman got off with it too.

Original Art From ‘Your Friend’ George Zimmerman

THE current top bid for a George Zimmerman original painting is US $97,700.00. That’s the same Zimmerman who shot dead Trayvon Martin, the unarmed black teenager. And walked free from court. A jury acquitted him of second-degree murder and of manslaughter charges.

Now he’s famous.

Gun celebrity George Zimmerman’s wife Shellie Zimmerman say he was ‘abusive’

IN every disaster a media carer is born. On Good Morning America appeared Shellie Zimmerman. She’s the estranged wife of George Zimmerman, the woman who shot Trayvon Martin dead and after a trial walked free. Says Shellie:

“I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don’t think I ever knew him at all… I have a selfish husband, and I think George is all about George.”

Maybe she’s a victim, too?

Trayvon Martin: hooded black Howard University School of Medicine students ‘kill’ in Chelsea and Millwall ‘kits’

The Howard University School of Medicine, makes a point. Which looks the more suspect - the men in white coats; or the men in hoods?

IN reaction to the news that Trayvon Martin’s killer George Zimmerman will not be punished by the US judiciary. (His family are in hiding and his name is mud, however.) The Howard University School of Medicine, makes a point. Which looks the more suspect – the black men in white coats or the black men in hoods?

The question might be: Trayvon Martin or Howard Shipman? The hooded executioner or  His Excellency, Generalissimo Dr. Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina, Honorable Chief of State, Benefactor of the Nation, President and Dictator of the Dominican Republic? Tough choice.

Trayvon Martin: Juror B37 and her book’s agent crawl back under their rocks

juror 37 trayvon martin

JUROR B37 sat on the George Zimmerman trial that questioned how Trayvon Martin came to be shot dead. She and her five colleagues cleared Zimmerman of murder. And then B37 got to thinking about her career. How about a book? She got an agent, named Sharlene Martin of Martin Literary Management LLC, notable for her work shilling for Amanda Knox’s ex Raffaele Sollecito.

Martin hoped Juror B37’s book would help the great unwashed…

“…understand the commitment it takes to serve and be sequestered on a jury in a highly publicized murder trial …. It could open a whole new dialogue about laws that may need to be revised and revamped to suit a 21st century way of life.”

Juror B37 went on CNN to for some marketing for her public service tome:

“I think both were responsible for the situation they had gotten themselves into. I think they both could have walked away.”

And then Juror B37 had second thoughts. The market (via Twitter and a peptition on Change.org) had told her that her project was reprehensible:

“I realize it was necessary for our jury to be sequestered in order to protest our verdict from unfair outside influence, but that isolation shielded me from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case. The potential book was always intended to be a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband’s perspectives solely and it was to be an observation that our ‘system’ of justice can get so complicated that it creates a conflict with our ‘spirit’ of justice.

“Now that I am returned to my family and to society in general, I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before I was called to sit on this jury.”

Martin did a reverse ferret:

“After careful consideration regarding the proposed book project with Zimmerman Juror B37, I have decided to rescind my offer of representation in the exploration of a book based upon this case.”

Says B37:

“I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before …”

And that’s a woman seen as a peer of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman deemed fit to judge them…

George Zimmerman: a paranoid victim of the illiberal bigots who made Trayvon Martin a ‘martyr’

PA-17050935

GEORGE Zimmerman did not murder Trayvon Martin in Florida.  The white vigilante did not murder the unarmed black youth.

A six-member, all-woman jury took 15 hours to deliver a not guilty verdict at the Seminole County Criminal Justice Center in Sanford Florida.

Which celebrity and cause will help George Zimmerman fight a murder charge?

GEORGE Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin’s supporters will get their day in court. Zimmerman, the armed “white Hispanic” Florida Neighbourhood Watch activist who pursued “suspicious” 17-year-old black teenager Trayvon Martin in the city of Sanford and shot him dead has been charged with second degree murder.

Zimmerman says he is innocent. So do the local police, who did not investigate the killing, saying the death was in accordance with Florida’s Stand Your Ground rule. Zimmerman said Martin had attacked him first The police agreed. The police did not even test Zimmerman for drugs or drink.

Many of those protesting Trayvon Martin’s death say Zimmerman is guilty. Barack Obama said “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon” – an opinion based not on Martin’s school grades but on the teen’s skin colour.
