Haiti In Pictures: Death By Numbers

AN earthquake in Haiti. The Sun says “100,000 are dead”. That’s the “fear”. The Mail says “100,000” could be dead. Senator Youri Latortue says the “toll could rise as high as 500,000.” The Mirror leads with “100,000 GONE IN 60 SECONDS”. The Star says “5000,000 are killed by quake”. The contest is to see whish news organ can come up with the largest number of dead. But the bigger the number the less comprehensible the disaster becomes. The more unbelievable it becomes:
