Tired looking 28-year-old arrested after forgetting wife’s name in sham marriage

A wedding was found to be sham when the groom failed to recall his beloved’s name.

The Daily Telegraph reports on “Zubair Khan, a 28-year-old Pakistani man, and Beata Szilagyi, a 33-year-old Hungarian woman”, who were both arrested in Hull “minutes before their sham ceremony”.

As the couple tried to use the scam to enable Khan to stay in Britain, Khan had to make a telephone call to marriage fixer Khaliq Dad Khan to ask his bride’s name during a meeting with the registrar before the ceremony… Khan, of Bow, east London, and Szilagyi, of Hull, were sentenced to 20 months and 17 months respectively at Hull Crown Court…

What’s noticeable about this story is the Telegraph’s picture and caption of the “28-year-old” and his good lady:

Life’s been hard

The year’s have been hard on the young chap…

In “DEPORTATION SCNADAL”, the Sun focuses on dentistry at Dover immigration removal centre, aka The Citadel.

“£4m Dental Suite Built For Illegals”

Adding:

Deportation scandal sees migrants leave with gleaming teeth

As the deported bare their new teeth, the Sun reports:

They are seen within six days at the surgery at Dover Immigration Removal Centre. But locals face a six-week wait at nearby public surgeries. The suite is run by five NHS dentists backed up by over-the-phone interpreters. It was built after detainees complained it was too much hassle being cuffed and escorted to off-site appointments…

Sharon McNeill, 46, waited weeks to have a tooth out. She said: “The way we cater to their needs is out of control.”

Sir Gerald Howath Wants Aldershot Twinned With Joanna Lumley

PA-16235093

SIR Gerald Howath, a former defence minister and current Tory MP fo Aldershot, who said Enoch Powell’s 1968 ‘rivers of blood’ speech was spot on, has turned his eye to Joanna Lumley, the actress who campaigned for Gurkhas’ rights.

Lumley was part of a succesful camapaign calling for Gurkhas who retired before 1997 the right to settle in the UK.

Sir Gerald Howarth wonders:

“Many of my constituents feel extremely aggrieved that Joanna Lumley ran this campaign, this very emotional campaign. She has been nowhere near Aldershot since, as far as I am aware. The problem does not lie with the younger, recently retired veterans, who speak good English…

“The problem arises with the older former Gurkhas … generally unable to speak English, virtually no job prospects, unfamiliar with our customs and often with failing health, inevitably because they are elderly.”

Yashika Bageerathi Needs To Murder Someone If She Wants To Remain In The Free And Fair UK

LAST week we learnt that Yashika Bageerathi, 19, is contrary to the public good. Yashika had hatched a plot to take A-level exams this summer. The authorities picked up chatter that Bageerathi was expected to “do well”. It would be a “glorious day” if she “passed”.

Yashika Bageerathi

Cunning Bageerathi arrived into UK by legal means. As police checked vans for human cargo and the coastguard kept a look out for overburdened li-los from France, Yashika and her family arrived in the UK on a plane. They were in possession of correct documentation. She then proceeded to commit not a single crime and work hard, slyly remaining “below the radar”.

Foreign Birds Come Over Here, Take Over BBC Radio 4 And Eat All The Worms

NEWS in the Telegraph of foreign birds:

“Radio 4 listeners have woken to the melodious sound of birdsong since the station began its early morning Tweet of the Day slot earlier this year to educate the nation about the calls of British species. However, some wildlife lovers have been left annoyed that the producers have chosen to include rare migrant birds that only stop in the UK for a few weeks of the year.

“One frustrated listener, wrote: “I don’t class these birds as British, so why are we listening to them?”

Maybe they’re EU birds? Or non-doms?

Irony overload: Greece follows up arrest of Nazi-loving Golden dawn by seizing immigrants

PA-17762667

HOW we cheered when the righteous, freedom-loving Greek police arrested the Nazi-loving Golden Dawn MPs.

Buoyed by that success, and cheered on by the Left, the Greek police went out to nick some more wrong ‘uns. No not violent bigots. Illegal immigrants.

Police arrested 41 people in central Athens on Sunday night during a large operation involving some 150 officers. The arrests were made around Omonia Square and in Aghios Panteleimonas. More than 330 people were detained. The majority of those arrested were immigrants who lacked the necessary paperwork.

Divisive immigration posters should include a humour test for illegals

immigration posters

NEW Home Office adverts urge illegal immigrants to”‘go home or face arrest”? Leaflets are being distributed in East and West London boroughs: Hounslow, Barking & Dagenham, Ealing, Barnet, Brent and Redbridge.

It’s PR politics. The Government looks threatening and tough whilst also  coming across as soft and understanding. The message beneath the tools of arrest and detention informs: “We can help you return home voluntarily without fear of arrest or detention.”

See. It’s not intimidation. It’s an advert for free travel. Sure, you fled poverty /persecution at home, breached national borders and adapted to a new country. But you might get arrested at some point so best to hand yourself in. These posters can’t fail to work. The illegal immigration must be forming an orderly queue.

A few views:

_68948175_68898651

Vince Cable MP (Lib):

“We have a problem, but it’s not a vast one. And it has got to be dealt with in a measured way, dealing with the underlying causes…Actually, it’s quite difficult being an illegal immigrant in Britain. You can’t work, certainly legally. You can’t have access to benefits. So the idea that there’s some vast hidden army of people is almost certainly wrong.”

Sadiq Khan MP (Lab):

“I think this is David Cameron’s attempt to try to win over Ukip voters. I think anybody that buys anything off the back of the lorry is foolish, and that includes this sort of silly posters.”

Nick de Bois MP (Con):

“Are people saying after all then: ‘Well, it’s OK, we’ll let people stay here illegally’? That’s not what the British public wants, and I think my colleagues in coalition are divorced from the reality that the British public are pleased that … illegal immigration is something that just shouldn’t be tolerated.”

Nigel Farage (UKIP):

“What the billboard should say is: Please don’t vote UKIP, we are doing something. That’s what it’s all about. I think the actual tone of the billboards, it really is Big Brother, nasty, it’s unpleasant. I don’t think using messaging like this makes any difference, what would make a difference is enforcing our borders properly.”

Immigration Minister Mark Harper:

“This is about people who are here illegally, the messaging on the advertising is very clear. We are working very closely with a lot of community groups who actually welcome the opportunity for someone who is not here legally to leave the country in a dignified way rather than being arrested, detained and having an enforced removal.”

:

…I texted the number advertised on the bilboards. The auto reply offered a callback in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, English or other language. I noted the racial profiling but went to bed and thought no more of it.

The next day, just as I was looking for a distraction from my dull sandwich-at-a-desk routine, the telephone rang. It was the Home Office. Although I had no script planned, I was up for some fun.

“Umm, I need to go home.”

“Where do you need to get home to?”

“Willesden Green.”

“This scheme is for people who need to go home to a place abroad.”

“Yes but I’m in Harrow now and your poster said you’d help me get home …”

“We provide help to people who are here illegally, such as people whose visas have expired.”

“I don’t have a visa.”

“Do you think you might be here illegally?”

“I don’t know. Do I need a visa to travel between Willesden and Harrow?”

Maybe the low-value migrants – the people whose jobs don’t score highly on the UK Border Agency’s check list for would-be immigrants and who aren’t rich – can petition for a test on their senses of humour?

MPs consider ‘Don’t Come To Britain’ advertising campaign

IMMIGRATION is still a super hot topic amongst politicians and racists. And so, in a big to discourage migrants coming to Britain, some ministers have had a rather barking idea, which involves an advertising campaign which shows how rubbish Britain is.

The campaign will reportedly be tested out in Bulgaria and Romania, and will focus on the worst aspects of British life.

Bangladeshi labourer does amazing brick trick

THERE’S this idea among many Brits that ‘they’ are coming and taking all of ‘our’ jobs. This mainly concerns labouring jobs, where migrant workers come to Britain and work incredibly hard and get catcalled by Spesh swilling doleys who will find any excuse to not put a shift in.

Of course, there are examples in migrant workers being exploited and British grafters who can’t get a job, but being fair and even-handed isn’t nearly as fun as casting the net far and wide in the name of going, ‘eh readers?’

Daily Express Says 28% In Favour Of Quitting The EU Is Actually 75%

DID you know that “THREE QUARTERS OF BRITONS SAY QUIT EU NOW”?

You might not have taken part in that referendum.

But the Express’s Alison Little is able to relay the results.

AN OVERWHELMING 75 per cent of Britons would vote in a referendum to quit the EU or renegotiate the terms, a poll published exclusively by the Daily Express reveals today.

So. The paper’s front-page headline, “75% Say: ‘Quit The Eu Now'” is wrong.

Given a choice to stay in or get out – without the option to renegotiate – 52 per cent would quit, 31 per cent would stay in, while the rest are “don’t knows”.

Want to Grow the Economy? Abolish Immigration Restrictions

WANT to grow the economy? Then abolish immigration restrictions.

No, not abolish immigration, this isn’t the BNP newsletter. Rather, the one big thing, the biggest thing in fact, that we could do to grow the world economy is to abandon all immigration restrictions.

That’s the outcome of a new research paper at least. In economic terms the argument is sound and beguiling. A very large part of how much you earn, how much you can produce, what your labour is worth (all, roughly, synonyms for each other) comes from where you had the good or ill fortune to be born.
