RIP Malcolm McLaren, you gave us butter flogger Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones, Syd Vicious and Paul Cook. You gave us the Sex Pistols. In 1971, you and Vivienne Westwood , opened Let It Rock on the Kings Road. You had a son called Joseph Ferdinand Corré, who co-founded the saucy knickers shop Agent Provocateur. You were the Sephardi Jew who in May 1977, the Sex Pistols yelled God Save the Queen. And it was brilliant. New York Dolls and Bow Wow Wow were less epic. But, still, not too shabby…
