WITH impeccable timing, soldiers from the Grenadier Guards arrive at Brighton County Court for the inquest into the death of Guardsman Jamie Janes, 20, who was fatally wounded while on a foot patrol near Nad e-Ali district centre in Helmand, Afghanistan, on October 5 last year. It was Guardsman Janes, 20, of 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, whose death sparked a furore after Gordon Brown misspelt his name in a letter of condolence to his mother, Jacqui Janes. Jon Gaunt Compounds The Sun’s Misery Over The Jacqui Janes Debacle

jacqui-janesTHE Sun would like to apologise for spelling Jacqui Janes’ name wrong in a piece about how Gordon Brown is the Devil incarnate for, er, spelling Jacqui Janes’ name wrong.

So Brown Pants Brown has insulted not only the family of fallen hero Jamie Janes but also every other British soldier by scribbling a note that even a five year old could have bettered.

Before we go on: Anorak is no bastion of correct spelling. But we have never accused others of stomping on the memories of dead solders for misspelling a name. Back to Gaunt and his tantrum:

That said if Brown or his predecessor had any real courage they would at least be at Wootten Basset when the fallen return but no, unlike Obama, Brown stays holed up in his Downing street bunker.

The Sun Joins Gordon Brown In Disrespecting Jacqui Janes By Calling Her Jacqui Jones

jacqui-janes-jonesGORDON Brown “outraged Jacqui Janes by mis-spelling her and her dead son’s names in a note of condolence”. The Sun cares enough to call her – are you ready? – Jacqui Jones. So says the Sun.

In it, heartbroken Jacqui – whose boy Jamie, 20, was killed by a bomb in Afghanistan – tells the Prime Minister: “Mr Brown, listen to me… I know every injury that my child sustained that day. I know that my son could have survived. But my son bled to death.”

Jacqui Janes picks up the phone to Gordon Brown. The Sun, which is no longer supporting Gordon Browns and Labour, coaks an ear:
