JOHN Bennell – the alleged intruder stabbed to death in Salford – was on bail for burglary.
“Earlier this month, Mr Bennell, from Hyde, was arrested in Tamworth by Staffordshire Police on suspicion of burglary. He was kept in custody overnight but released on bail pending further inquiries.“
