Taxi For Piers Morgan: Washing Jonathan Ross’s Dirty Letters In Private

UPDATED: Piers Morgan’s Diaries on BBC Director General’s pal Jonathan Ross and those lust letters:

We’ve been offered the TV star Jonathan Ross’s laptop computer for £20,000. When we asked the guy trying to flog it why on earth he thought it was worth so much, he leered and said, “Because there’s so much filfth on it.”

Sch-wing!

The Climate Change Bill is passed. In London, it’s snowing in October for the first time since 1922:

Russell Brand And Child Star In Live Sex Broadcasting Storm

THOUSANDS of listeners have complained to the BBC after a ‘live’ radio report for Russell Brand’s A Times & Place programme went disastrously wrong.

UPDATE: JONATHAN Ross and Russell Brand have been suspended by the BBC.

The report was billed as “a candid investigation into the world of the swing”, and featured a visit by childhood TV star Jonathan Ross to a private party in West London.

From the start it was apparent that cash had been taken in liberal quantities, and a debate about social mores and swing parks soon turned into a frank discussion of personal habits.

The Law Catch Up With Ross And Brand

DANIEL Finklestein on Brand and Ross’s Power law cruve…

Why have 18,000 people complained to the BBC about Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross?

The figure is being used as a measure of the scale of public outrage. Of course, it is nothing of the sort.

If a number of unsavoury incidents cause equal amounts of offence, they will result in an unequal number of complaints.

It seems as if the complaints are distributed on a power law curve. A few incidents will garner a vast number of complaints, a long tail of equally offensive incidents will attract almost no complaints.

Russell Brand’s Favourite Nazis

RUSSELL Brand and Jonathan Ross are the Germanes:

Brand defended the call on air by asking what was more offensive, the Daily Mail’s support for Mosley’s Blackshirts seventy-odd years back, or his call. I guess the answer to that is that that no-one in the 1930s was forced on pain of imprisonment to buy the Daily Mail !

(Slightly off-topic but irresistible – I bet you didn’t know that the Guardian argued for the Nazi Party’s inclusion in the German government, saying that this would “help to perpetuate this democracy“. Or that the Observer hinted that claims of anti-semitism were exaggerated because “the major part of the German Republican Press is in Jewish hands“.)

Laban makes a point. But Brand’s apology made no point at all…

The Germanes: Brand And Rossy In Faulty Towers

THE Daily Mail is up in arms at Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross, so don’t mention the war.

Trouble is, Russell has let things go to his head and can’t stop himself. While Rossy runs about clearing up Brand’s mess, Brand insults everyone and oh, no…

“I would like to remind the Daily Mail [sic] that while it is a bit bad to leave a swearword on Andrew Sachs’ answerphone, what’s worse – leaving a swearword on Andrew Sachs’ answerphone or tacitly supporting Adolf Hitler when he took charge of the Third Reich?”

“Don’t mention the war!” Mr Faulty, is a panza, is not a rat…
