Can 4Chan Save Julian Assange And Avenge The Wikileaks Founder’s Arrest?

HAVE no fear Wikileaks, the chaps from 4chan are here to support free speech and truth (and once Julian Assange has decided what that is, he’ll let you know) by distributing denial-of-service attacks against Paypal , Mastercard and Swiss bank PostFinance. All three have declined to process Wikileaks cash. They are all capitalist enterprises, and Assange, an arch capitalist, will surely be sympathetic to the market forces that influence their decisions.

On 4chan, “Coldblood” vows that any organ “bowing down to government pressure” is a legitimate target for their payback.

Julian Assange Says Wikileaks Killed 1300 Kenyans Then Denies It

JULIAN Assange has told us that Wikileaks changed the regime in Kenya and led to the deaths of 1,300 people. But now he says:

WikiLeaks has a four-year publishing history. During that time we have changed whole governments, but not a single person, as far as anyone is aware, has been harmed.

Is Julian Assange being less than transparent with the truth..?

Julian Assange Not Dead After Run In With Met Police

JULIAN Assange was hiding out in London. The Met Police knew where he was. He was not selling newspapers under the alias Ian Tomlinson, wearing a Millwall top and walking through a crowd in The City, and so able to be despatched with minimal fuss.

He was not dressed as a swarthy, fari-dodging electrician from Brazil called Jean Charles de Menezes., and was thus not shot many times in the head.

He was not posing as a burley Glaswegian by the name of Harry Stanley. He was not carrying a coffee table leg in a plastic bag, that looks a bit like a gun if you are a police marksman with a squint.

Christopher Hitchens Wants To Be Julian Assange?

JULIAN Assange, of PO Box Wikileaks is arrested in a very odd case of alleged rape. And Christopher Hitchens calls Assange “a middle man and peddler who resents the civilization that nurtured him”.

At the risk of sounding childish – that’s you that is…

Julian Assange’s Arrest: Photos, Snowmobiles And London

WIKILEAKS founder Julian Assange has been arrested. Anorak stood outside Westminster Magistrates Court in London to see if the helicopter would arrive on cue. We looked for the snowmobile to slide into view. We looked for the rescue. But it never came.

All that arrived was a regular saloon car and a man with the back wearing David Gower’s old hair. Why Assange has been arrested, you can read about here. It is a story high on innuendo and sensation but seemingly low on shame and criminality. Read it all and see what you think.

Wikileaks: Hounding Julian Assange Is Illegal And Immoral

WIKILEAKS has become forever tied with Julian Assange. The founder will not leave his British hideout and face those rather odd rape charges in Sweden. Wikileaks would continue to publish in his absence. But vanity is a powerful drug.

Anoraks readers are debating Assange:

A US readers writes:

FIRST, I’m not knocking Freedom of the Press even though there are times you well know I’ve spoken out against their publishing info on people’s private lives.

However that damn Confidentiality Agreement the CNN made a point of saying they didn’t sign it as found it unacceptable is really bugging me. I have to question if in fact money exchanged hands by those newspapers who got the information first. Why is the Guardian not addressing that?

Wikileaks: Julian Assange’s Assassination Proves Journalism Matters

IS JULIAN Assange being smeared by a sex story? You could ridicule the Wikileaks’s founder for his inchoate Hunter S Thompson-styled jottings. You could wonder that Wikileaks, a terrific website full of news that others thought unfit to print (unless it complied with their agenda) has turned into gossip rag. But the sex story – an alleged rape – is the one that is sticking and doing damage.

Says the Swedish judiciary:

The Matter concerning Julian Assange has been detained in his absence charged with rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion. Mr Assange had appealed the detention decision issued by Svea Court of Appeal.

Assange hears the charges and runs. He should hand himself in and allow Wikileaks to be bigger than his ego. He won’t. And so Assange and Wikileaks are tethered.

But there is hope. The operation to discredit Assange, punish him, evict him, and traduce his name is a big deal – it shows that Assange is a worry to some in power.

Wikileaks: Fame Hungry Julian Assange Steals Credit for CRU ClimateGate?

WIKIELAKS founder Julian Assange (not dead) seems to be doing his best to destroy the thing of wonder he helped create from his early musings.

(Did you sign the Wikileaks confidentiality agreement for freedom and get the cables?)

In this video, Assange says he and Wikileaks were responsible for the CRU emails being made public.

He says it “doesn’t matter what we [Wikileaks] think“.

Everybody Loves Julian Assange: Mummy Christine Speaks And Murders The Wikileaks Cool

WIKILEAKS’S Julian Assange, of the leaks, and the confidentiality clauses, and the angst, was once a man of mystery. Now, he’s an ordinary bloke, albeit one beloved by a lazy media and wanted by Interpol, who’s mum sticks up for him in public. When Wikileaks was subversive and shadowy, we loved it. Wikileaks was cool. Now, it’s all a bit disappointing.

READ: Wikileaks: The Hypocritical New York Times Published The Cables Because They Fitted Its Agenda

Says mum Christine:

The mother of Australian WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said on Wednesday she was distressed by an international police alert for her son’s arrest and did not want him “hunted down and jailed.”

Julian Assange’s Interesting Question: Read Wikileak’s Founder’s IQ.Org Musings

JULIAN ASSANGE and his Wikileaks are big news. But what was he writing about before he hit the big time? His site of 2006 was called, humbly, IQ.org. It stands for Interesting Question. We call them the Assange Cables and the highlights appear below. It’s like Adrian Mole discovered the web after an A-level course in sociology and Hunter S Thompson:

Wed 29 Aug 2007 : Iirrationality in argument

The truth is not found on the page, but is a wayward sprite that bursts forth from the readers mind for reasons of its own. I once thought that the Truth was a set comprised of all the things that were true, and the big truth could be obtained by taking all its component propositions and evaluating them until nothing remained. I would approach my rhetorical battles as a logical reductionist, tearing down, atomizing, proving, disproving, discarding falsehoods and reassembling truths until the Truth was pure, golden and unarguable. But then, when truth matters most, when truth is the agent of freedom, I stood before Justice and with truth, lost freedom.

Wikileaks: Russia’s State Radio Smears Julian Assange

WIKILEAKS is back making news for the rest of the media. A load of US State Department cables are about to be leaked. How many? Almost three million. Who’d be a researcher wading through that lot?

The cables are between the US and Australia, and the US and Canada.

Yes, readers, Canada has hit the international news agenda! That big slap on ice and moose between American and Sara Plain rear window is newsworthy. And it’s all thanks to Wikileaks.

Meanwhile, David Gower look-alike Julian Assange is in the UK, reacting to news that a Swedish court has rejected his appeal against a detention order in a rape case.

Sweden Issues Arrest Warrant For Wikileaks’ Julian Assange: The Full ‘Rape’ Statement

JULIAN Assange, an Australian citizen, is wanted in Sweden over allegations that he’s involved in “rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion.” That rather odd cheese-fedrape case involving, allegedly, Anna Ardin, is back. Has Assange’s reputation been assaulted and given an unwelcome shafting?

The Wikileaks founder needs to avoid Sweden, unless he want to get his face in the limelight some more? Assange’s lawyer Mark Stephens says the allegations are “false and without basis”. Stephens works at London law firm Finers Stephens Innocent LLP. He’s a brief who has represented the author Salman Rushdie and is expert in US defamation and reputation management.

Julian Assange’s Wikileaks Press Conference: Full Text Of Speech On Iraq Civilian Dead

WIKILEAKS has unleashed a torrent of classified material about the war in Iraq. The big news is that civilian deaths are being counted by the US military.

The contents of the papers are digested here.

The site’s founder Julian Assange’s press conference in London is here:

“We hope to correct some of that attack on the truth that occurred before the war, during the war, and which has continued on since the war officially concluded.”

“In that material, the deaths of some of 109,000 people are documented including 66,000 civilians.

“Working with Iraq Body Count, we have seen there are approximately 15,000 never previously documented cases of civilians who have been killed by violence in Iraq.”

….

“This disclosure is about the truth. We hope to correct some of that attack on the truth that occurred before the war, during the war, and which has continued on since the war officially concluded.”

“While I am not sure we have achieved the maximum possible (political impact) I think we are getting pretty close.”

Has Julian Assange’s Fame Wrecked Wikileaks?

WIKILEAKS was huge news not too long ago. Footage of US soldiers in Iraq looked good and grainy and as if  something was going on we didn’t know about. Bradley Manning was the alleged insider doing good deeds. Truth would out.

Wikileaks then unleashed tons of stuff about Afghanistan. Lazy hacks seized on it. But there wasn’t much in it. It’s existence was the story. Wikileaks was our alternative source for news.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange had an aura of mystery. Here was the David Gower look-alike that would not be pinned down by “bastards“. But he started showing off and looking like he was enjoying his fame.

He was then accused of rape, in a odd tale  short on facts that traveled well.  And Assange was reduced to being just another horny geek with a website and a son.

Julian Assange Is Judged A Possible Rapist As Case Reopens

THE good news for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is that his name is still on the news agenda. The bad news is that there are now even more internet phrases linking his name to rape.

The rape case that was dropped has now been restarted. The Swedish Prosecution Authority says:

“There is reason to believe a crime has been committed. More investigations are necessary.”

Marianne Ny, director of public prosecution, says:

“…considering information available at present, my judgment is that the classification of the crime is rape.”

“Present judgement” is a phrase that suggests that the judgement may change. Which, if it is a judgement, is not much of one. But good that ongoing judgements as to whether a named man is or is not a rapist are made under the media spotlight.

How Cheese Got Wikileak’s Julian Assange Laid And Accused Of Rape

WIKILEAKS founder Julian Assange was scooped by his own rape allegations, which will remain just that: allegations. But you want to know the details, right?

The story goes that while in Sweden, Assange shagged at least two women in four days. (Running a website can get you laid. Good news there.)

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Does Irony As Smear Campaign Targets His Son Daniel

But that we want to know more of what Assange is alleged to have done? Thankfully, documents have been leaked – and, no, not by Wikileaks.

Anna Ardin is Woman A, allegedly. A police source tells the Mail:

“They had a discussion and decided it would be OK to share the living space, then went out together for dinner. When they got back they had sexual relations, but there was a problem with the condom – it had split. She seemed to think that he had done this deliberately but he insisted that it was an accident.”

(Insert joke about leaks here.)

Then there is Woman B. They met at a talk Assange had been invited, reportedly, to give by Anna Ardin. It was organised by the Social Democratic Party. At the seminar, Woman B bought Assange a computer cable. In computing terms this is akin to roses.

Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Does Irony As Smear Campaign Targets His Son Daniel

WIKILEAKS founder Julian Assange has not been charged with rape. Mr Assange is not a rapist. He is also not a paedophile. Such are the facts. And they can be checked. The search phrase “Assange rape” yields About 4,390,000 results on Google. In not one of those results is he guilty.

A similar search for “Assange paedophile” conjures up 27,100 results. So. Some way to go on that unfounded smear.

Julian Assange Loses His Cool To ‘Rape Victim’ Anna Ardin – Wikileaks Is Scooped

And it is all a smear campaign, as Assange says it is. And, yes, complaining of smear is a bit rich for a man who runs a website that presents leaked documents and videos – leaked by unnamed people for purposes that are unclear.

What Really Happened When Wikileak’s Founder Julian Assange Was ‘Raped’

At it’s best Wikileaks steps away from the political lobby and tells it like it is. There is no off the record briefing.  At its worst, it is a publication without checks or balances that puts people in danger.

Julian Assange Loses His Cool To Alleged ‘Rape Victim’ Anna Ardin – Wikileaks Is Scooped

IS ANNA Ardin, as alleged in numerous reports, the woman who claims Wikileaks founder Julian Assange sexually molested her? Hers is, apparently, the story Wikileaks was scooped on.

Is it a plot to undo Assange and Wikileaks? If it is a plot, it is clever. Assange and his site possess an otherwordliness. They operate beyond the normal confines. But if he can be pinned down – and on top of a woman – the allure is lost. Wikileaks is no longer cool. It becomes irrelevant.

What do we know about Anna Ardin? On her old blog page – now deleted, Ardin writes a mini bio:

My feminist reflections and comments on animal rights, Swedish politics and Cuba from a political scientist, Christian left and long distance runner will from now on be published at http://annaardin.wordpress.com“

Gawker tells us:

Anna Ardin, thepolitical secretary and press officer of the Swedish “Brotherhood Movement,” a group of Christians from the Social Democratic Party controversial for inviting anti-Semitic speakers to the country

They had also invited Assange to speak.

What Really Happened When Wikileak’s Founder Julian Assange Was ‘Raped’

JULIAN Assange, leading light of the Wikileaks website is not a rapist. He is also not a bank robber, paedophile, jihadi, junkie  – and he is not wanted in his native Townsville for the late return of a library book. But he does look like David Gower, the former England cricketer.

What Julian Assange is and is not is the topic of much debate ever since he was accused of rape. The allegation has been dismissed. For a short while Julian Assange was famous for something other than unleashing thousands of secret US military documents on the war in Afghanistan online and having fairy hair (although he has cut it). For a short while Julian Assange was an alleged rapist.

Wikileaks Gives Lazy Journalists Biased History Of War In Afghanistan: Pictures

But he is a good guy. Assange is working for the good of mankind:

* Daniel Schmitt, a co-founder of Wikileaks, says Mr Assange is “one of the few people who really care about positive reform in this world to a level where you’re willing to do something radical to risk making a mistake, just for the sake of working on something they believe in”.

But get a load of that non-rape. Wanted by the US government to help with their enquiries (no arrest warrant has been issued – it’s not as if he did anything serious like sell marijuana seeds in Canada), Assange was alleged to have been out and about in Sweden. And he was horny:

* Police said he was wanted for raping a woman in Stockholm last weekend and then sexually assaulting another woman in the town of Enkoping, 40 miles from the capital, three days later.

Assange says the claims are baseless. But good of the Swedish police to tell everyone that he was wanted. Assange duly has his named linked to the word “rape”. His accusers remain unnamed.

Julian Assange On ‘Crushing Bastards’, David Gower And Manning’s Death Sentence

JULIAN Assange, the Australian founder of Wikileaks with the looks of a combed David Gower, says “inside sources in the White House” warn him not to visit the US. He needs inside sources to tell him that? Doesn’t Assange read the media or follow that journalisic mainstay – the hunch?

If one thing has emerged from the Wikileaks story it is that Wikileaks likes being the story. Why mention your sources inside the White House if you want to protect them? You mention them to give yourself credibilty.

If Wikileaks is to be undone, it will be undone by vanity. But how important is it and those leaked documents on the Afghan war? A news round-up on how the media became the news:

READ: Wikileaks Gives Lazy Journalists Biased History Of War In Afghanistan: Pictures

Assange was talking to the Frontline Club:

“Today the White House put out a private briefing to reporters about Wikileaks and me and it quoted a section from an interview with me in Der Spiegel saying that I enjoy crushing bastards.

“Somehow the White House finds that offensive. In terms of returning to the United States I don’t know. Our sources advise from inside the US government that there were thoughts of whether I could be charged as a co-conspirator to espionage, which is serious.

“That doesn’t seem to be the thinking within the United States any more however there is the other possibility of being detained as a material witness and being kept either in confinement or not being allowed to leave the country until the Manning case is concluded.”

Why The Pentagon Is Hunting Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Over Bradley Manning

WIKILEAKS founder Julian Assange is being hunted by the Pentagon.

Wikileaks And Julian Assange Caught In Bias Storm Over Reuter’s Iraqi Journalists ‘Slaughter’

YOU’VE seen the Wikileaks video of Iraq journalists being killed by US gunships. Did you believe what you saw? What did you want to see? Reuters journalists Namir Noor-Eldeen and Saeed Chmaghand 11 other Iraqis died when on June 12, 2007, a US Apache gunship opened fire on a group in Baghdad’s Sadr City. Two children were wounded.

The Times’ Giles Whittelland Alice Fordham report:

The co-pilot reports seeing RPGs and AK-47 rifles on the ground, though none are visible. There are at least eight bodies in plain view, however.

Here’s the video they saw:

But then, you look again at a less edited version of the tape. The Jawa Report, sasy teh first video is  “perverse and evil slight of hand”.
