British Sailors Arrive Back From Iran, In Pictures

FOUR of the five British sailors arrested in Iran – Luke Porter, Sam Usher, Oliver Young and Oliver Smith – have arrived back in Blighty.

The crew of the Kingdom of Bahrain were detained after their yacht strayed into Iranian waters as they headed from Bahrain to Dubai to take part in the Dubai to Muscat offshore sailing race. After a few days with them, the Iranian regime could take more stories about Cowes Week, sailing with people called Jules and ways to serve Pimms and released the captives. We were there to see them come home:

Iran Parades Seized British Sailors In ‘Catwalk Show’

SAM USHER, Olly Smith, Luke Porter, Oliver Young and Dave Bloomer are being held in Iran after their yacht on is way from Bahrain to Dubai strayed into Iranian waters.

The British media goes to work, explaining the incident in five words or fewer:

Snatch? As in kidnapped? But they weren’t snatched. They illegally entered Iranian waters.
