Misspelt Letter Earns Ipswich Woman 3 Months Prison Sentence

MARIA Jordan, 41, of Bull Road, Ipswich, is embarking on a three-month prison sentence for presenting bogus letters to South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court. She hoped the letters would explain her two alleged breached community orders relating to her conviction for theft. She claimed she had been involved in a fatal road traffic accident.

One letter – the one she claimed her GP wrote – begins “Dear Majistrate Court.”

(Not one one of mine.)
The doctor’s surgery denies producing the note. Jordan says the second note was written by her manager at KFC. This was alos bogus.
