Mugshot Of The Day: Man Who Fire Gun To Make Son Run Faster

MUGSHOT of The Day is Robert Lynn Barker, of Leesburg, Florida, who used a BB gun to get his son to works harder at his American football game. Barker also likes to wear a hat.

The boy, Barker’s stop-son, had left a match early after feeling unwell. Barker (more nominative determinism, readers) took the lad home, where he comforted the boy by placing cones about 20 yards apart in the front yard of their home and “making him run sprints in his football gear using the BB gun to signal the beginning of the drill”. It was 91 degrees.

Barker, a former football player, said the sprints would help alleviate the athlete’s pain, which he said was likely caused by a lack of conditioning
