Mrs Chapti Fights Ban On Her Husband Of 37 Years Joining Her In UK Until He Speaks English
RASHIDA Chapti lives in Leicester. Rashida and Vali, her husband of 37 years and father to her six children, have launched a judicial review at the High Court to challenge the new immigration rule, which they claim contravenes their rights to a family life, their right to marry and constitutes discrimination.
The new rule requires people to be able to speak English to move to the UK to be with their spouse.
