The presence of large amounts of glacier ice in northerly waters is hardly proof of ... well, of anything really. What it definitely isn't proof of is "cold" in some undefined way. The ice isn't forming in the water, it's calving off glaciers. When the glaciers melt, the amount of ice floating around goes up. This random association of 'cold things' with 'the lie of global warming' doesn't flatter the intellect of the writer. It's like the similar daft noting of the snow at the global warming conference, as if snow can only fall at exceptionally cold temperatures. "Ice is colder than water, therefore lots of ice = colder temperatures". Nice work, monkey boy.
