Al Sharpton Bothers God And Mitch Romney

THE race for the White Hosue is long enough to make everyone look good and everyone look bad.

Al Sharpton, Reverend Al, is the recognisable face of “all things black”, as John Ridley puts it. Whenever there’s a black issue, Sharpton pop up to speak on behalf of black people, whether they like it or not.

Al hates haters. And is at the New York Public Library with atheist author Christopher Hitchens, another exported English baddie, a kind of Simon Cowell with smaller breasts.

Says Al of Mormon Mitt Romney’s presidential bid:

“As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don’t worry about that; that’s a temporary situation.”

How very understanding and tolerant.

Romney hears. “I don’t know Reverend Sharpton,” he says. “I doubt he is personally such a thing, but the comment was a comment which could be described as a bigoted comment.”

But better than that is the idea that God will annoint the next President of the United States. Not the voters. Not Chad. But God. Who needs to vote when the result is a forgone conclusion. The Divine Right of Presidents.

This after news of George Bush praying with Tony Blair, as if being religious - or at least wearing your religion on your sleeve - makes you better able to command and more worthy of your position.

It’s not you who decides to bomb Iraq, it’s God who guides you. Isn’t this too much like the Islamists who claim to be mere functionaries of God’s vengeful hand?

Don’t worry about Romney - he hasn’t a prayer of winning…

  1. 1 E Price Says:

I think Al Sharpton should retire from public speaking the way he demanded that Imus be.
I mean how stupid is this Sharpton? The name of the Mormon’s church is Church of Latter-day Saints of Jesus Christ.
What was this bigoted ignorant slime thinking when he said what he said?

  2. 2 Mark Says:

As a member of the church Al Sharpton wrongly attacked I demand his termination from the radio show he hosts.

Every Sunday I teach Sunday School and every lesson focuses on the Life of Christ and his example.

Had he checked his facts he would see that we probably teach more about being Christians than he ever has as a supposed minister.

If we didn’t believe in Christ surely the name of the church wouldn’t be The Church of JESUS CHRIST….

Surely the American people are seeing Sharpton’s true color of evil speaking and will show this. I joined the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints because of their strong belief in God. Maybe Sharpton should attend a meeting with these fine people so he could see the Truth firsthand.

Meanwhile, once again evilness continues to spew from Al’s mouth. It’s time for Sharpton to step down and act like a Christian.

  3. 3 Ryan Says:

What goes around comes around…I am sure Imus is smiling somewhere! Al Sharpton now dancing around the issues and spinning what he said into something ok is so pathetic. On Hardball with Chris Matthews he says he is flying out to apologize to the Mormon leaders in Utah. How ironic that he is flying somewhere to meet people in person to apologize for racist comments. However, much like he said after Imus apologized it won’t be enough. He needs to be punished to the fullest extent. Saying his words were not correctly understood…are you kidding me??? So IRONIC!!! Looking at his qoute above I really don’t see how it can be spun into something else! Do these idiots really think that most people are idiots and buy the spin? The Retard Al Sharpton and his sidekick babbling boy Jesse Jackson should fall into a hole somehwere and NEVER come back!

  4. 4 Dean Says:

The thought of Al going before the news media, demanding Don Imus be fired, after the fact that Mr. Imus appologized, tried to rectify his mistake is a clear picture in my minds eye. I am troubled with the fact the mr sharpton feels that he is above being held by the standard in put before Don Imus. It appears to me that there are two sets of standards here.
Maybe the term ” do as I say not as I do ” applies to mr. sharpron. One can’t help but wonder if the phrase ” whats good for the gander is good for the goose” applies here!

  5. 5 Anorak Says:

Sharpton makes himself look a fool

  6. 6 Steve Says:

The reverend Al Sharpton has always claimed to represent the almighty, but his example has always been more political than religious.

Don Imus never hid who he was or what he thought, however, he attacked kids the last time and that has always been intolerable.

Now the reverend shows himself to be no different in his beliefs, but what it took to expose it was his going against someone just a little stronger in the debate.

That is his excuse for saying what he did against the mormons.

Religious leaders like Sharpton, Shweggart and Jim Baker do more damage to Christianity in the name of God than they realize. Because they make it clear they are above the laws they claim to live by.

One of the 10 simplest rules ever written says “Love they neighbour.”

I feel the best way to show that is not by your words, but by your example.

  7. 7 Travis Says:

As a religious leader and a person who others look up to, those remarks were very pathetic. He should be promoting all religious behavior. He can apologize all he wants to, but the point is that he still spoke those words. You can’t hide from that, the apology will not make it go away. He is just trying to fix his image. As far as I am concerned he can maintain where he is now, I do not surround myself with people who think like that so I have no need for Al Sharpton in my life.
