So the ANC weren’t terrorists? And what of Gerry Adams and the IRA? Even George Washington? All reactionaries who simply fed on fear? And what does ‘wartime’ mean? Once the US and UK decided to invade Iraq did that begin the latest period of ‘wartime’ and thus justify their bombs?

Osma bin Laden - yes, a terrorist. Bombs are dropped in wartime - terrorism is reactionary and feeds only on fear.

How exactly do we define ‘terrorism’? A bomb is a bomb, whoever detonates it. Was Nelson Mandela a ‘terrorist’? Tony Blair? Osama Bin Laden? The list is as endless as it is debatable. But creating an ‘us’ and ‘them’ situation between nation states and terrorists misses the point and more worringly feeds into the establishment’s tidy little framework.
