After The US Attacks Iran, What Then?

THE Iranians are spoiling for a fight. The US is well placed to give them one. But then what?

Since Iran is a highly complex society, and its government widely unpopular, there may well be some local support for a “shock and awe” campaign. We know that the administration has cultivated ties with the Mujahadeen Khalq (even though they remain on the State Department’s terrorist list) and the Pakistan-based Balochi separatist group Jundallah (the Party of God). These among other organizations will get their marching orders amid the “creative chaos” produced by the attack. There can be no large deployment of U.S. troops in Iran, unless they evacuate from Afghanistan and Iraq which is unlikely.

Do I hear IRAQ? The United States military used “shock and awe” in Iraq and look where we are. Military intervention should be a last plan and there should be a backup plan in place to fill the gap, when we remove the head. Iraq and Afghanistan proves that simply removing the head, does not always allow for the take over by a leadership which is capable of controlling and governing the country.

In Afganistan we all saw what relying on local groups for help does for you,
    NOTHING!!!
If that’s Bush’s plan then he’s an even bigger moron that I currently think he is.
