Madeleine McCann ‘Suspect’: Toscano’s ‘The Frenchman’ Is Bernard Alapetite
PAULO Reis writes from Portugal:
Madeleine’s “alleged” kidnapper, “El Francés” (The Frenchman) a.k.a Bernard Alapetite
(…)
Bernard Alapetite, a.k.a “El Francés”, was arrested in June 1997, by French Police, in an operation that put 323 people under investigation and 24 detained. Alapetite was a producer of legal homossexual porno movies, but had also a illegal business, buying foreign movies of young boys being raped, copying and selling those videos for 120 Us dollars each. In 2000, Bernard Alapetite, 47 years old at the time, was sentenced to three years in jail by a French Court from Macon, south western France.
This is the same man Toscano told journalists, yesterday, after the hearing at Polícia Judiciária, in Portimão, that “has Madeleine with him”. “El Francés”, as the Spanish journalist said, “will make no harm to Madeleine”, Gerry and Kate McCann “don’t need to worry”.
But Bernard Alapetite, a.k.a. “El Francés” (according to Antonio Toscano and his friend Reinaldo Colás) after serving his three years in jail, went back to his legal bussiness and produced two movies, for the gay & lesbian circuit, in 2005 and 2006: “Comme un frère” (“Like a brother”, that can be bought at “Amazon.com” for 9,65 pounds) and “Vincent River”, also available at “Amazon.com”. He is one of the “bloggers” at “Les Toiles Roses” where he published a chronicle on May 2 (the day before Madeleine was abducted) a movie’s critic about “300” and “Ne touchez pas la hache”.
On May 27, wrote a second chronicle about the Gilbert & George exibition, at “Tate Modern”, in London – and the text seems to suggest that he was there.

What?! No sarcasm/ snotty remarks/ comical tangents? Or was that sarcasm? Weak comming from you. Go away Anonymous. Go stuff up another thread somewhere else.

and shall willingly leave you to do that to this one
June 29th, 2007 at 2:31 pm
Why would a homosexual man or a man interested in homosexual porn take a girl though?
Why would he steal a child for money for someone else if he’s a got a legal business?
June 29th, 2007 at 2:46 pm
Easy money maybe? The whole thing is bizarre. The only thing that I am very glad about is that the parents are making a hell of a noise about their daughter and I hope they never stop even after they find her. If anything creating awareness about child abduction will assist rather than be to the detriment of families facing such a horror.
June 29th, 2007 at 3:16 pm
lets just hope Madeleine is found safe and well soon. And yes that the campaign to highlight other missing children is kept at hight levels just like this one. I would love to see all who interfere with kids or entertain such videos, all put down once and for all. And for anyone who knows of someone who does this sort of thing to realize that they are as much to blame for not blowing the whistle.
June 29th, 2007 at 3:31 pm
The enormous amount of media attention in this case is definitely a good thing. People are uniting in this and the spotlight is shining on all paedos right now. The police across europe are clearly taking her disappearance very seriously and as a result, every paedo will feel like a potential target for investigation and will be shaking in his boots.
I believe this case will unearth a whole manner of unsavoury characters. Lets just hope that one of them can lead the PJ to Madeleine.
June 29th, 2007 at 4:07 pm
yes joanne, but it might be a bad thing too as whoever Has Madeleine will be laying low until the media coverage dies down, i would think.
June 29th, 2007 at 4:37 pm
Weirdness. I certainly hope there is more to it than that
June 29th, 2007 at 6:00 pm
Manon,
I’m thinking the same thing you’re thinking. Why would El Frances want a little girl? It’s apparent that girls are not his cup of tea. why ruin a legit business? I think it’s just another diversion or a way to keep himself (Toscano) in the publics eye.
June 29th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
he has madeleine and will do her no harm?
ha ha. why had he taken her?
June 29th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
When these two were arrested, two young children were found in the house to be ‘living with the couple’. They are unlikely to be their children given their ages and have been taken into care by local spansh authorities.
She has previous convictions for illegal adoption, he has previous for abusing kids (sexually or otherwise, he clealry doesn;t put the interests of children before his own).
I read somewhere that they have their garage coverted into a childrens bedroom - yet they live in a big house with more than enough bedrooms to accommodate all those living there.
Then the judge stamps a secrecy order on it.
Very fishy.
June 29th, 2007 at 9:21 pm
How difficult is it to sail a yacht from Sotogrande to Malta?
June 29th, 2007 at 10:52 pm
What’s taking place in the garage?? Maybe they film in there. They sound like they are secretive……so there could be any number of reasons why they may be involved. The suspect(s) could be involved with other friends with major ………problems.

Death to all child abusers!!
June 30th, 2007 at 2:18 am
I’m sorry I poste this twice. I meant to post it here.
This is very sick. I wonder what kind of abuse these two were accused of. Now they’re trafficking gametes? What for?
David Brown and Sebastien Duval in Paris……..
“Madeleine pair ‘trafficked children’
A couple arrested in connection with the kidnapping of Madeleine McCann have been investigated for the international trafficking of children, The Times has learnt.
Danilo Chemello and Aurora Pereira Vaz are expected in court this morning after being seized for attempting to secure the £2.5 million reward for Madeleine’s safe return.
The Times has discovered that the couple were previously investigated by police because of the large number of children passing through their home. Detectives also suspect that they were organising the international sale of gametes, human sperm and eggs.
Mr Chemello, 61, and his Portuguese girlfriend, 54, are believed to have moved to the exclusive Sotogrande resort in southern Spain two months ago, having lived in Italy and France. They were both jailed for 18 months in France in 2004 for abusing their five-year-old daughter.
Detectives attempted to find the pair after they contacted a lawyer in Malaga, on June 8, claiming to know where Madeleine was being held.
Officers have had them under surveillance since last Monday and decided to act on Wednesday night after discovering that Mr Chemello was wanted on an international arrest warrant issued in France.
Police who raided their home on Thursday discovered a large number of newspaper articles about Madeleine and found pictures of the missing girl on a computer.
A girl and boy, aged seven and five, who were in the home have been taken into care.
Ms Pereira Vaz is under investigation in France for allegedly lying about being the biological mother of another girl.
Detectives are attempting to discover if the couple are directly linked to the abduction of Madeleine, or were attempting to claim the reward fraudulently. Police have found no trace of Madeleine, 4, since she was abducted from a holiday apartment in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz on May 3. It was disclosed yesterday that Mr Chemello and Ms Pereira have already been investigated for human trafficking. Christian Girard, a French state prosecutor, told The Times that witnesses had alerted police in 2004 to “a lot of children passing through their house” on the French Riviera. The home was rented for €30,000 (£24,500) a month.
A source said that detectives were particularly keen to trace a boy who lived with the couple for several months and then disappeared.
An inquiry was held into the alleged traffic in gametes after detectives discovered lists of sex cells on the couple’s computer. The lists mentioned the sex, as well as the racial and religious origin of the cells.
Mr Girard, state prosecutor in Draguignan, southern France, said the couple were suspected of organising international traffic in collaboration with a doctor in Greece and a laboratory in the US. However, no charges were brought because the facts occurred outside French territory, he said.
Portuguese police believe that Madeleine might have been taken to order and taken out of the country within hours of her abduction.
Mr Chemello, an Italian, is wanted in France after being convicted of trying to blackmail a judge who convicted the couple of abusing their daughter. He was sentenced to three years in prison in his absence in February last year.
Dominique Moyal, deputy state prosecutor in Nice, said that Mr Chemello had originally been placed under investigation on suspicion of conspiring to murder the judge.

Check the DNA of the 2 children staying with this couple. And try to match it with parents who have had their child go missing. Where is there a missing child DNA database in the EU? Need one.
June 30th, 2007 at 8:46 am
I just hope to God that they have the CIA or FBI working on this behind the scenes. I’m not convinced that the Portugese Police really have the knowledge or experience to be left to deal with a case such as this. This poor little girl has been missing for nearly 2 months and not a peep…………All child abusers in any capacity should be given the electric chair. If it is proven 100% by DNA or Lie detector these people should have THEIR human rights removed for the very last time. We work damn hard and pay taxes like they are going out of fashion to keep these people (after their token slap on the wrist) in a life of relative luxury only to release them for GOOD BEHAVIOUR………Do me a bloody favour………they come out of jail, with their new education (which we pay for) and sometimes their new identity to go on and offend again and again until they are caught. No deterent there because it’s only another couple of years in jail which we, the taxpayers foot the bill for again. I say bring back corporal punishment or better still, stoning and be rid of these vile evil bastards. I certainly don’t want them living near me and my kids. This country is so spineless it’s an absolute joke. Let’s hope Gordy Brown will be a bit more sympathetic to the poor victims and punish these people before the supposed 2000 prisoners are tagged and realeased onto our streets because the prisons are overcrowded. They’re overcrowded because we are soft.
Rant over……..
June 30th, 2007 at 9:00 am
Ranting again…….
Sandy, I totally agree with the DNA database idea but I say every child born worldwide should have their DNA stored in a database that way at some point in the future everyone will be on record and as soon as a crime is committed and samples are found there’s a match whether it is from simple breaking and entering to murder. That, I think is the way forward. They say it will cost the taxpayer too much money for database storage but I would rather pay my taxes and it go toward this than foot the bill time and time again to keep these cretans alive. I would gladly give a sample of my DNA and my 3 childrens to be put on.
I think I should be given a go as PM, just for a couple of months until I filter through the prisons and rid the world of these evil people. Just a thought.
June 30th, 2007 at 10:05 am
Why capital punishment for them? I think they should be used as human guinea pigs and organ donors.
Taking DNA from all newborns is a good idea and so easy and painless as well. It has been broached before , what about microchipping?
June 30th, 2007 at 11:08 am
I’m thinking about getting my daughter microchipped.
I would also gladly have mine and her DNA information entered into a database.
It should be voluntary to prevent those ridiculous civil liberties people from justifying their existence.

IS it not right though Paulo, that Olegario De Sousa told press that the recent arrests were ‘connected’ to information provided by Antonio Toscano?
Also, what are your reasons for wanting to contact Bernard Alapetite so urgently?
June 30th, 2007 at 11:50 am
Joanne:
No, absolutely not. Give me 15 minutes and I will translate and post here the main links for what Olegário de Sousa said. The only thing Olegario de Sousa said about Toscano, was that his information “was one more line of investigation”, after Toscano was questioned at Portuguese CID headquerter in Portimão.
About the arrests in Spain, Spanish Police got a tip from a lawyer to whom Danilo Chemello and his wife, Aurora Pereira, called, saying they had inofrmation about Madeleine, but they wanted to exchange it for money. The lawyer tipped Police, and they were arrested.

Paulo Reis

Joanne:
I have only ONE REASON to contact Mr. Bernard Alapetite:
Clause 1) from the Portuguese Journalists Deontological Code:
“(…) Facts must be confirmed (before publication) and all persons with a legitimate interest (in those) facts must be heard”
http://www.jornalistas.online.pt/noticia.asp?id=24&idselect=369&idCanal=369&p=368
As I am preparing a “Special Report” about him, I MUST CONTACT HIM. This is a basic deontological and professional rule!
Regards
Paulo Reis
PS: FYEO (For Your Eyes Only…) Mr. Bernard Alapetite already contacted me, a few minutes ago…

When it was first available for dogs there was talk that the chip could travel round the body possibly ending in the brain or lungs, this has proved to be kennel legend, its stays put.
Having worked in animal rescue and seen the benefits of the chip and being able to return a long lost pet to its owner and the joy from both parties, its easy to see the gains
It does go somewhat against the grain with humans possibly a hangover from Hitler and his nasty ways of treating humanity as a chattel and not a being. Exactly the same attitude from a paedo towards their hapless victims.
Until paedos are punished properly and at least jailed for life, and not released back to the community to continue their barbaric practices, I think its becoming a necessity now to microship babies. At the very least if they are taken there is a way of tracking their whereabouts, and that has got to be a better option than endless hoax sightings and mistaken sightings.
But perhaps less so called ‘Human Rights’ for the offenders, its very clear they lose those, but ‘Victims rights’ are upheld, perhaps any do gooders might like to brew on that? and justify any pro HR’s reply or risk being shot down in flames
June 30th, 2007 at 2:24 pm
I answered you Anorak , but its been mislaid
June 30th, 2007 at 3:37 pm
Worldwide DNA databank for children and inserting a Microchip in children have become a necessity. The problem I fear with microchip is that the people who take children might cut the chip right out of them.
A worldwide DNA databank of people who traffic children, possess child porn and/or commit sex crimes on children is also a necessity.
Life in prison or the death penalty for sex crimes committed on children is also necessary.
