I find their intolerance of anyone who isn’t inspired bythe McC’s quite astonishing, and yet in real life a good 80% of the population doubt them. I also find the abuse from some of the posters on here really amazng, but I suppose thats the downside of free speech.
Perhaps the more vocal on here might set up their own site. and we can come along and do unto them? Would we be tolerated for a moment though?

I have now read all of the other posts which have been sent today. There have been lots of ‘dummies thrown out of prams’ , including yours. Don’t bother reprimanding me for my ‘naughty’ statement, I really have had enough of this. You talk about children in playgrounds, well I think you should take a serious look at your other sites, which I consider to be far more playground orientated that this one. Such comments as ‘ I’m first’ and ‘OMG I wanted to be first today, well I’ll be second then’ spring to mind!!! I am so sorry that this site has turned into a free for all, it was so good having genuine people to share my concerns with. I really thought this site would go on until Madeleine was found, either one way or another, but a few posters have spoilt that, even though Anorak wasn’t a site for the likes of myself, Maggie, Isla, and the rest who have the genuine concern for this precious little girl. I have made the mistake of thinking that ‘our’ site was special, but how wrong I was, as you have stated frequently in the last few days, it belongs to Anorak and Mods and Admin rule ok, and nothing can get in the way of satire even at the expense of a little girl and a family who is grieving for her.

For quite some time I was solo Mod, but we now have two more: Duncan R and Carmen, both very fair and reasonable people. June

Administrator: The thread is not closing overnight. The sort of conduct I have seen here today is more suited to a kindergarten sandpit than an adult Forum. Disappointment would be the most benign expression. I have others expressions available. The conduct has reinforced my opinion there is a closure point close to being reached.
The Moderators have discussed this and I have to say I am reluctant to allow emails to be flashed around the net and I would suggest you set up a google account or similar to allow us to pass an address which gives you all a degree of choice about whom you wish to contact. We will pass them on but I can not guarantee any degree of urgency about this. The site is very busy and we have an increasing work load. Part of my concern about this thread is the undue amount of time being wasted by administration upon it…if you follow me. -agw

I warned this thread was becoming high maintenance and I see from today’s series of postings there is an element determined to disrupt the site to have their own way.
I don’t have the time or inclination to deal with tantrums. I was prepared to allow a orderly migration from this thread and I am still inclined to do so.
If any poster challenges any Moderator’s ruling with the level of insulting behaviour as demonstrated here they may not be given time for regrets since I shall act at once. -agw

We ask that all posters carefully check their posts after they have written them for libel, that when they disagree a point they debate the point and do NOT insult anyone.
This thread shall be closing shortly as its too high maintenance, and Admin’s decision on this is final. He’ll be posting sometime soon to confirm and clarify points which have clearly not been received too well.

Let me tell you. i believe all suspects in this case, are innocent until proven guilty. I dont agree that people are coming on here, to deliberately slagg of the McCanns. I certainly havent done that.
Isla, it is wrong for this site to be used a support group for the McCanns. I agree innocent until proven guilty. But as you dont hold that view for the other suspect in this case, then i dont think you can just site this where the McCanns are concerned. If you do hold that view, all are innocent until proven guilty, i have yet to see a post from you that defends Murat in anyway when people have come on here, saying all kinds of things about him. All 3 are suspects, all 3 should be treated equally.
