And in fact, it was you people that clicked on the headline… to read about the joke. Perhaps rather than moaning about it, a better way to deal with your disapproval would be to just ignore it. If people read the stories, the press will continue to print them. So it’s up to you.

Oh dear, what has happened to sense of humour?! Jokes like these are not meant to be offensive to the people in what can only be described as a terrible situation. I am sure that if you asked any of the creators of these jokes, they would say that they felt nothing but sympathy for the poor family. Creating a bit of light out of a bad situation does not mean that you are disrespecting or insulting anybody. News creates jokes - end of story. If you find the jokes offensive, that is also fine - you don’t have to read them.
