Madeleine McCann: Tony Bennett Writes

AS Tony Bennett writes on the Anorak Forums:

Thanks for support received yesterday. I shall need to withdraw from further posting on this forum about the case pending the Court’s decision on my application for a summons alleging the offence of child neglect (CYP Act 1933) against Gerry and Kate McCann

The matter, as told by the press, is here…

  1. 1 Taybie the Saxon Says:

    1st?

  2. 2 Taybie the Saxon Says:

Well, everything seems to be in more of an equilibrium at the moment. Baby pics of Maddy, Jane Tanner on the telly, and either no sign of the final FSS results or a a final conclusion that they are inconclusive. And where would that leave the investigation? There’s too much scepticism about sniffer dog evidence, and too much talk about the destruction of forensic evidence between 3 May and the beginning of July.

Could the McCann story be entering a new phase?

  3. 3 Anonymous Says:

With much admiration and respect for Mr. Bennett. Best wishes from Los Angeles, California USA…
    BRAVO!

  4. 4 Ian Says:

…and from the UK, where all parents do not leave their little children to fend for themselves.

  5. 5 Ian Says:

2 Taybie, you mean where it gets buried?

Tanner is taking a risk - after all this time, why would she have to consider before answering a question of the time something happened? Perhaps to appear to have to think about it?

There are enough people who will not allow Madeleine’s true fate to be forgotton. Abducted?

Do you think people believe it? Because I dont (believe it or think people believe it)..

  6. 6 annie1 Says:

This is absolute speculation - but today I spoke to a lady (and I know that you are all about to spew up when I tell you that she has in the past had dreams of true happenings - past and future) She is in her eighties and has just the basic tv channels - no sky news - never buys a newspaper and has no internet access. She said to me today - “have they found the body of the little girl who died in the bath on holiday” - I asked her which little girl she was talking about and she said “the one who they said had been pinched by someone” “pinched” I said - you know “run off with” she said. I asked her what made her think that she had died in a bath and she said “I saw it weeks ago - she banged her head and went under the water - she was on her own and couldnt cry” Then she went on in a matter of fact way and commented on the freezing weather and told me how many days left before Christmas. I hope that this is not a true “dream” - because I hope that one day Madeleine will be found safe and well.

  7. 7 Northern Bird Says:

Well done Tony. I agree with your moral stand point. We had a fantastic holiday in Portugal, the hospitality was absolutely brilliant-no need whatsoever to leave children unattended– children were always welcomed. There should always be constant vigilance for infants. I do hope that the Portuguese people realise that we are not all like the McCanns and many of us enjoy our time with our children and that we go on holiday to spend as much time as we can with them when they are little. I really can not see the point in a family holiday if it means leaving children in creches or leaving them alone in an unfamiliar environment. Once again ,Tony, we wish you every success.

  8. 8 lindy Says:

having returned from aweek in tavira about the same distance from faro in the other direction frm pdl.the portugease people take their kids out when having meals the mccanns and friends just did not want to be bothered. so well done tony, we all back you on this.and by the way if maddie s dead and taken up in to the hills, she will never be found.

  9. 9 Joanne Says:

Annie. What a load of old shit.

  10. 10 Kerra Jonson Says:

Obviously Tony Bennett has never been a parent, or at least he has never had full time responsibility for a child for any extended period. It’s so easy to sit back in the easy chair and throw stones.

  11. 11 Incredulous Says:

Tony Bennet aka MrKFR Devlin - SKy Discussion Board!

  12. 12 Curious Says:

    Tony,

Do you think that you’ll be more successful with this action than the one regarding Michael barrymore/Stuart Lubbock?

Given your links to the National Front (Ian Anderson with whom you co-founded People’s Campaign to keep the Pound) does you campaign for parent’s rights include non-whites?

I note that UKIP banned you after you referred to the Prophet Mohammed as a paedohile. Do you hope that muslims, here and elsewhere, will support your application regarding the McCanns, given those views?

I must say, your Wikipedia entry makes interesting reading!

  13. 13 annie1 Says:

    Jonanne - you should know!!

  14. 14 Magali Says:

Incredulous, that IS funny, because i was JUSt wondering the same thing!!!I have been on the UK News Sky discussion board for 6 months and I tilted at a very familiar way of writing, which I now know very well…when I read THIS present post from Tony BENNETT!oh yes this is the exact same style,Antony Bennett and MrkfDevlin,I am not surprised that I very often congratulated my friend there on his very talented way of writing,IF they are the same person…I’d be very proud indeed!
(I did also congratulate Anthony BENNETT either here or at the bottom of an article online.)

  15. 15 Davy Crockett Says:

I have to agree with some earlier posters - it seems that a hard core of McCann bashers have managed to infiltrate many discussions on this news story. Reducing it from a news story that highlighted missing children and child abduction into a vicious witch hunt. Ah the cult of celebrity or notoriety - so worthy. Bennet/Mrdevlin must be estactic to get on the front page of the rag that is the Daily Express!

  16. 16 Mary Says:

I’m glad Tony’s bid has failed. It is up to the relevant law enforcement authorities to decide whether or not there is a case. Fortunately the authorities are sufficiently sensitive not to bring such a case against a couple who, under the presumption of innocence, are enduring unimaginable suffering. They don’t need people like Tony Bennett making things worse for them. The guiding principle of any civilised society has to be compassion, retribution only where necessary. Shame on Tony.

  17. 17 Curious Says:

    Oh dear, poor little Tony-wony,

Another failure! Who will you try to sue next? Meredith Kercher’s parents for letting her go to Italy? Dinah McNichol’s father for letting her go to a pop concert?

Instead of tagging your name onto high-profile cases, why don’t you put your efforts into helping the children who are known to have suffered neglect or abuse? The hundreds each year whose names don’t hit the headlines. Ooops, silly me, there’s no bandwagon for you, is there?

  18. 18 Incredulous Says:

Yes - he’ll find another set of unfortunates and bash them to death. His sole purpose for existence appears to get his name in the papers. Oh and yes he posts under at least two pseudonyms- Lucian Deville and Mr KFR Devlin.

He is nothing but a rabble rouser who leads a bunch of the most viscous miserable people I have ever had the misfortune to come across. He is determined to get his failed career up and running. He was sacked as an MP.

  19. 19 Incredulous Says:

I think the spelling is Tafira!

  20. 20 Testrial Being Says:

The Bennett man has lost the plot.

  21. 21 Rachell Walters Says:

This Tony Bennett man is giving Harlow a very bad name, there is a very bad smell coming from Old Harlow, this man seems to latch onto high profile cases’s & seeks further publicity at sad loss of a loved.
