The Cult Of Barack Oabama
THE Cult of Barack Oabama:
And yet there was something just a wee bit creepy about the mass messianism — “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for” — of the Super Tuesday speech and the recent turn of the Obama campaign. “This time can be different because this campaign for the presidency of the United States of America is different. It’s different not because of me. It’s different because of you.”
That is not just maddeningly vague but also disingenuous: the campaign is entirely about Obama and his ability to inspire. Rather than focusing on any specific issue or cause — other than an amorphous desire for change — the message is becoming dangerously self-referential. The Obama campaign all too often is about how wonderful the Obama campaign is.
It’s not a cult. It’s just celebrity…

Obama’s an empty suit, albeit a well-tailored empty suit with a good speech, and if the Dems nominate him, they’ll get swift-boated so badly that what happened to Ned Beatty in ‘Deliverance’ will seem mild. And worse, the Dems shall lose my vote. It’s time for a woman president. Please. Pakistan has had a woman president. Please, guys, don’t make me vote for McCain.

You’re not likening Hillary to Benazir are you Charles?
Run out of town for dodgy financial shenanigans, and then blown up (or shot, depending on your political viewpoint) when trying to get back into town after a few years shopping in London?

I cannot vote Obama, for I distrust him–aside from an X-men style super-ability to stand on all sides of every issue, he tries to have things both ways.
a. I’m not black so’s you’d notice, but if you don’t vote for me, you’re a racist.
b. I transcend all partisan and racial categories, but if you vote for me 400+ years of racial ickiness will go away. Please, lets sing kumbayaa, and share a coke and a smile.
McCain is, despite some campaign clumsiness, as Don Corleone would say, a serious man.

Everybody can’t vote Obama, sure not when things got to change. Such people wanna be paraded by the same old f**s that have caused attrocities in IRAQ and have led so many americans to death in the name of whatsoever and fight against oppression. Maybe you should watch or read more of the News from other medias and not get fooled by FOX and CNN. Americans in IRAQ are not happy, McCain is a firm supporter of the Administration that led to that menace in IRAQ. Damn, do you sometimes hear yourself out, when you hear CHANGE, c’mon you don’t have to keep following a tradition that has failed the american people, don’t be too shy to say you need a CHANGE, you can make that CHANGE now!
