AS reported: “On Friday, French far-right leader Jean-Marie Le Pen was handed a three-month suspended jail sentence on Friday for describing the Nazi occupation of France as ‘not especially inhumane’.”

Can you really go to jail for that? I mean if you’re killing or threatening to kill others then fair enough - but expressing an inaccurate/ignorant/nasty opinion???
I don’t know what Hitler would be more proud of - Le Pen defending him or the French State putting people in prison for talking out of turn.
