The new Official Sins are great. As someone involved in science education I’m delighted to see that genetic engineering is included in the expanded list of things for Catholics to feel guilty about. Making it naughty will make it cool to do, as with all other sins.
I agree with previous posters Tim and PeterMac, you only need to look at the Catholic church for examples of the sins. In the new list, pollution seems to be a good one, given the view on contraception and the role of over population in making this planet unihabitable.

I think half of the priesthood looked at their own lives and came up with that list.
