The point about the French is — we beat them.
Over and over again, Agincourt, Poitiers, Waterloo you name it.
Until the point where we had to go in to rescue them. Twice.
If you want a really good laugh put “French Military Victories” into Google and hit the ‘I feel lucky’ button, Then follow it through. Priceless

Maybe he didn’t forget the French, I dont think they like him much either.
But lets not forget that Gordon is a Scotsman and the Scots and the French were allied against the English.
I once watched a game of football (World Cup, someone - I forget who - against France)in a bar at Glasgow airport. It was the French the Scots were supporting.
