Indonesia Bans Wilders’ Fitna Film
INDONESIA has banned Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch right-wing Freedom Party (PVV), from the archipelago.
Wilders’ 17-minute film Fitna, which means strife in Arabic, broadcasts terrorist attacks and links them to the Koran.

A truly shocking development. Most Islamic-governed countries are so tolerant, too. This must be some kind of mistake.

The problem is that the movie shows Imams, politicians and clerics clearing stating their intentions. The movie cannot be critised as it is true. I have already seen these clips before as they are freely available on the web. I would hope that Muslims who see this movie would denounce the Imams and others who are behaving this way. I have a feeling though that we will see more flag burning and riots. I think Gert Wilders is a very brave man for highlighting the truth about Islamism and Islamist’s. I myself have Muslim friends many who agree in a way with these Imams…. Islam is a poor excuse for a religion and should not be treated as such. When will all this terrorism finally be over? Certainley not until the world is muslim or civilised countries take a firmer stance.

What do you mean by Ban? Can the Government ban the internet? Fitna is all over in Internet. I think there are now thousands of copies in 100s of Internet sites. Is Indonesia wants to get political support from its Muslim citizens. I think so. When banning is irrelevant whom they want to eyewash?
Islam(now) and all other religions for that matter will face tremendous criticsms in this century of Internet and borderless communications. Nobody can ban anything in this world except to cut off from the world by disconnecting the internet.
The cyber revolution has started counting its victims, Islam in the first place.
Cheers to freedom of speech. Let people talk freely without the fear of being killed or intimidated. Internet and freedom of speech are mutually supportive. Let us see empires fall in this era because of internet and free thinking.
