Sex Is Good For Men: Survey Says
AS you were:
THERE’S new advice for older men who want to preserve their sexual function: have sex, and have it often, researchers say.
In a study that followed nearly 1000 older Finnish men for five years, researchers found that those who were regularly having sex at the start of the study were at lower risk of developing erectile dysfunction (ED) by the study’s end.
In fact, the more often the men had sex, the lower their ED risk.

Data based on ’self-report’ with no independent verification of claimed frequency of sex or erectile dysfunction?
Load of bollocks !!!
Surprised this study got any funding, never mind published, with such a piss-poor research design?

Well, according to the Journal it has an impact factor of 4.9.
The New England Journal of Medicine has an impact factor of 51.296.
Impact factor is a measure of the number of times papers published in the previous two years have been cited in the scientific literature.
Which probably explains why the ‘piss-poor’ research design made it into the AJM, as opposed to the NEJM…
