My experience of many social workers is that they are overworked, highly stressed and very defensive. Many are also highly committed. They are up against a system that condemns them when they are seen to be too zealous—and condemns them again when they fail to remove children to a place of safety. They are also subject to the horrors of social work fashion, the current mantras being “good enough parenting and “capacity building” in families. This is all fine stuff, but it is founded on the belief that parents are (almost) always the best option for their children. This clearly isn’t true in a number of cases, and the risk assessment system is picking up too few.Social workers are also hampered because they know how inadequate and under-funded the foster care system is—and hesitate to remove children into a system which doesn’t guarantee good care. Despite all this—and I see the perils of their situation—they, too, should examine their consciences.

hsh said much the same seven full days ago: It’s worth the repeating Anorak’s contributors were first again:
++++++++++++++ +++++++++ Instead of focusing too much attention on the mother we should be questioning the system that failed this child. Social workers and their colleagues are desperately over worked and the system is designed in such a way that it is actually very difficult to remove a child from its birth family without very clear evidence. Add to this the desire on some adults parts, to harm children, and these situations will arise, unpalatable as this may be. This does not detract from the need to fully examine the circumstances leading up to this latest incident and to consider the failure of the government to provide a better resourced service.

No, Social Worker’s are uneducated, lived in a Pagan Cult environment since born, Plague-Rised their work to get their grade’s throguh school, college and Uni, because their Freemason British Leagion father’s told them to take out their anger on someone else at school, instead of trying to complain about their daddy’s penis up their backside’s when he’s the local Bobby, Magistrate, Doctor, Lawyer, Butcher, Barber, Candlestick maker, and every flippin trademan in the country with a Union Card paid up for the privalege of having their criminal record’s fabricated onto their brother’s daugher’s record’s 20 year’s later to cover up their system of handing down their criminal identity’s to their kid’s for more than 4 generations since the Sweet Pea was first recorded in the Boteny of the Female Chakra Flower Book!
