Allow The BNP To Speak: Racism Is Not A Crime
THE BNP are hateful. But they must be allowed to speak:
As one who exchanged blows rather than opinions with the National Front in the 1980s, it gives me no pleasure to say this. But we ought to uphold the right of the British National Party to express its views, however vile, after Merseyside Police arrested 13 of its members for distributing leaflets. I’m afraid that free speech means freedom for fools and scumbags, too.

The above two sentence article which is the core of this site suggests the BNP are “vile”, “fools” and “scumbags”. No reasons given or evidence cited.
Your command of logic and reason are just impeccable.
Re the leaflet distributed by the Liverpool BNP members (arrested by Liverpool police) this leaflet/booklet made a perfectly serious point (though the way it was presented was far too emotive). This central point was that far more racist attacks are perpetrated by coloureds on whites than vice-versa. I looked at the evidence cited, and it wasnt bad ( though far from foolproof).
The latter point is what we should be discussing. But any such discussion would be a mile above the heads of those who throw words like “fool” and “scumbag” around.
