All Men Are Paedos And Psyhcopaths

ALL men are paedos:

“Can a man talk to a kid in the park anymore without being seen as a pervert? . . . This has to stop. Adults should talk to children in public, whether to joke, teach, comfort, or if need be to admonish. Normal adults, that is. Or are we prepared to leave the field clear for perverts and psychopaths?”

To the paedo park!

Internet To Egypt Cut: No Internet For You

IN Egypt, they are not reading this. Because:

CAIRO, Egypt — Egypt’s communications ministry says Internet cables in the Mediterranean Sea have been cut, causing massive Internet outages.

The ministry says three Internet cables running through the Mediterranean were cut Friday morning. Throughout the country the Internet is almost completely down or working sporadically.

Yemen and Sudan were also having phone and Internet difficulties Friday, but it was unclear if it was connected to the outage.

Accident?

Christmas For Jews

BERNARD Avishai loosk at what Christmas means for Chanukah:

It is not a simple matter to be a Jew in America this time of year. Not in Jerusalem either, a few miles from Bethlehem. Christmas, as John Updike writes, is Christianity “at its sweetest.” Many have written, some with an air of sweet resignation, about the yearning Jews feel as the days darken: to share in the melodies, the hearth, the love of the child…

While Christmas brings God down to earth, Chanukah dispatches earthly versions of God to the rubble pile. They need God to feel immanent, nearly material like a Greek deity, while we need God to be thought ineffable and mysterious.

Tony Bennett: A Statement

TONY Bennett would like it to be known that:

“For the record, I do not have, and have never had, any link or association with the BNP, or any other far right-wing party or group, nor have I ever expressed racist views.”

- Tony Bennett

We have printed that has requested. his name is on no BNP members list. “That do?” we asked him.

He adds:

Yes, but it needs to be published alongside your concession that “I do not have, and have never had, any link or association with the BNP, or any other far right-wing party or group, nor have I ever expressed racist views” - and together with your prominent apology.

This correspondence is being saved for your hosters if you do not within 24 hours withdraw all libellous references and apologise for having published them.

By the way, with references to false claims by ‘coolandcalm’ and others that I am making money out of the ‘60 Reasons’ book or am an ‘ambulance-chaser’, please note that in relation to Terry Lubbock he was not charged a penny for the very considerable hlep I gave him, and the ‘60 Reasons’ book is being sold at a price which just covers costs if we sell all of our print run. Suggestions to the contrary are therefore false and should not be published by you either.

You may publish this e-mail in full as well - I do not give you permission to selectively edit my e-mails.

- Tony Bennett

Book Al Gore For A White Christmas

CHASE Cooper thinks Al Gore can guarantee a White Christmas:

On particularly chilly days, I wonder if Al Gore might be in town. Have you noticed the way global warming doomsayers so often manage to have their rallies and speeches in stunningly frigid weather? Just Google “the Gore effect.” I’m even thinking of inviting Gore to my family’s holiday celebrations. As much as I hate cold weather, who doesn’t love a white Christmas?

Al likes it hot…

Byline Strike At The AP

A BYLINE. They get a byline? Get a wesbite, already:

Journalists and photographers at the US news agency the Associated Press (AP) are withholding their bylines to protest management’s stance in contract talks, their union said.

“Staffers recognize the tough times, but they also understand that quality journalism at AP means attracting and retaining the best employees,” Tony Winton, president of the News Media Guild, said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Guild said AP reporters and photographers were withholding bylines and personal equipment “in protest over the news agency’s proposals that would threaten job security, dramatically raise medical costs, and freeze wages.”

“They’re making it clear that AP’s future success means respecting its workers, not imposing huge medical costs and regressing on industry-standard job security terms,” Winton said.

In a statement, the AP said its “proposals to the Guild are rooted in the desire to assure that we can maintain the maximum number of quality journalism jobs, and that these positions are compensated fairly and in accordance with the realities of today’s economic challenges.

“We’re hopeful that we’ll reach agreement on these critical issues.”

New Labour And Limp Bizkit

New Labour And Limp Bizkit - the debate…

For an example of Labour’s Limp Bizkitesque deviousness, see their platitudinous warblings over “humanitarianism”. David Miliband salutes the “brave people“, “fighting to gain tomorrow the democracies that we…are blessed with today“. Gisela Stuart tells us that “most politicians” are motivated by “a feeling that things don’t have to be the way they are and that there is something we can do to make it better“.

And yet, with a genuine humanitarian issue on their hands - so easily solveable that all they have to do is precisely nothing - they get all sociopathic on our asses.

Climate Cops Cry Off

THESE Cliamte Cops are the real deal, protecting us from those climate Kops. And when they ar eback on duty, watch out:

When climate camp protesters descended on the site of the Kingsnorth power station for a week-long summer demonstration, the scale of the police operation to cope with them was enormous. Police were accused of using aggressive tactics, confiscating everything from toilet rolls and board games to generators and hammers. But ministers justified what they called the “proportionate” £5.9m cost of the operation, pointing out that 70 officers had been injured in the course of their duties.

But data obtained under the Freedom of Information Act puts a rather different slant on the nature of those injuries, disclosing that not one was sustained in clashes with demonstrators. … [I]njuries reported included “stung on finger by possible wasp”; “officer injured sitting in car”; and “officer succumbed to sun and heat”. One officer cut his arm on a fence when climbing over it, another cut his finger while mending a car, and one “used [his] leg to open [a] door and next day had pain in lower back”. A separate breakdown of the 33 patients treated by the police tactical medicine unit at the climate camp shows that three officers had succumbed to heat exhaustion, three had toothache, six were bitten by insects, and others had diarrhoea, had cut their finger or had headaches.

Andrew Sullivan Continues To Investigate Sarah Palin’s Womb

ANDREW Sullivan has an update on two-wombs Bristol Palin and her mum Sara Palin:

Some readers asked me to comment on Patrick’s post last week. I don’t have much to add except that I totally respect and understand his view and always have. Neither Patrick nor I have baldly asserted something we cannot know for sure: that Trig Palin is Sarah Palin’s biological son. Our difference has merely been that he assumes that the Alaska governor is telling the truth and sees all the circumstantial evidence as very compelling backing for her maternity (as has almost everyone else in the MSM). For my part, I have always clearly conceded that that is perfectly possible, but that the bizarre chronology and facts in the public record raise enough questions that a simple piece of easily produced evidence should have been produced to end the issue at once. The facts of the case and the refusal to defuse it was enough to prevent me from assuming that she was the mother. I know that made and makes me look like a total douche in some people’s eyes, but I figure that journalists who are afraid of looking like douches for doing their job should pick another line of work.

Meanwhile, Mr Edwards, anyone..?

Media Matters Fisks The Times Over Blago

THE UK press might well take over the world. This on the Times’s trreatment of the Rod Blagojevich story:

We don’t normally comment on foreign press coverage of the Beltway, but this news report from Murdoch’s Times of London regarding the Blago saga is so egregious, so dishonest and so bad, we thought it deserved attention. Especially in light of the fact how we noted last week that Murdoch’s WSJ seemed to be straining the facts in order to hype the Blago story with an anti-Obama spin. Question: Has Murdoch issued marching orders to all his news orgs about this ”scandal”?

Times of London headline: “Senate scandal snares Obama’s chief aide.”

The aide in question is Rahm Emanuel and as we pointed out last week Emanuel is not the target of any Blago-related investigation because he did nothing wrong. But the fact that Emanuel was referenced on the Blago wiretaps doing nothing wrong means to the Times that he’s been “ensnared.”

It gets worse. Here’s the lead as written by Sarah Baxter [emphasis added]:

The bullish, foul-mouthed but effective Chicago arm-twister Rahm Emanuel has come under pressure to resign as Barack Obama’s chief of staff after it was revealed that he had been captured on court-approved wire-taps discussing the names of candidates for Obama’s Senate seat.

That’s a new claim and the newspaper makes it in the article’s very first sentence: Emanuel is under pressure to resign?! By whom, is the obvious question. Behold the Times’ answer: “Grover Norquist, an influential conservative tax reform lobbyist.” We kid you not. A professional GOP partisan throws out a pointless silly claim that Emanuel should be fired and Murdoch’s newspaper treats it as breaking news.

Yeah, the listen to the UK press on US politics. We rule!
