Young Gun

by | 27th, January 2004

‘A TEENAGER who tried to rob a 7-11 store in Florida came unstuck when he realised to he had bought the wrong ammunition for his gun.

The 16-year-old youth pointed his .22 calibre rifle at the shop assistant and demanded money, but when he tried to load the weapon he realised that he had got .40 calibre bullets by mistake.

A customer at the shop in Broward County saw what was happening and tackled the would-be robber, while two other men helped, one of whom reportedly kicked and stood on the would-be robber until police arrived.

The youth was arrested and charged with armed robbery. He was not charged with being criminally stupid.’
