Anorak News | Goodbye

Goodbye

by | 12th, April 2005

‘ANORAK can no longer continue on its humble mission to save the world.

It will take an angel to restore Anorak.

To restore Anorak, we need a backer. The collection plate is being passed among the great and good, for it takes money to keep us going.

And Anorak is a worthwhile investment. For ten years and more our daily reviews of the national press and weekly takes on the world of entertainment and celebrity have been massively popular.

Over the years we have been successful in building up a fanbase not only for our site, but also for our clients.

And we have received glowing reviews:

“I wish I knew who was responsible for this site – I’d send them a thank-you note” (The Scotsman)

”Anorak is a breath of fresh air: irreverent, hilarious, often insightful, always intelligent, but never stuffy.” (World Press Review)

”The style is brisk and breezy and has bags of personality. It’s well written” (BBC Best of the Web)

”…one of the best news sites in the ‘hood” (Evening Standard Top 10 news sites of 2000)

”A great satirical look at the news” (Revolution)

We’ve appeared in publications as diverse as the Economist and the Daily Star, been read by the foremost opinion makers, both in this country and abroad, and copied and plagiarised by our peers.

If you want to back us in any way, please get in touch.

We remain – as ever – available to write for our clients.

I’d like to thank you – our readers – for your support over the years. And do tell us if you would pay a subscription fee to access our site.

If you want to sponsor Anorak – or include our hugely popular articles on your website, portal, mobile, company intranet, magazine, newspaper etc. – see what we can do in the site’s archive section.

Yours sincerely
