‘WHEN TV home improvement expert Linda Barker entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle she did so with a reputation for being nice and blonde.

By the time she left, her reputation was cast in bisque and a chunk of Australia had been repainted in a deep gamboge and stencilled in a miniature horse motif.

Now, some years on, Linda is a big star who counts Antony Worrall Thompson among her pals and has bumped into Toyah Willcox, Danniella Westbrook and Sian Lloyd at parties and “events”.

Now rested in her second home in Yorkshire, Linda is happy to talk about how she has redone the place and herself.

For the place, Linda has gone for a blend of “quite contemporary” and “quite comfortable”. It looks like it does just what it says on the tin, appearing in the pages of OK! as a blend of beiges, light browns and soft yellows. It’s quite the thing.

For the face, Linda is sticking with something tried and tested. She’s opted for Isolgane. It’s 100 per cent natural, enthuses Linda.

But how natural is natural? “They take a small sample of your skin from behind your ear…and they take it away and cells are reproduced.” Oh, that natural. And what do they then do with this swatch of skin?

“That’s where they stay until you decide you want a treatment and then a doctor will inject it into your face.”
