New Labour, New Neighbour – Hazel Blears’ Local Video

blears-hoodie.jpgHAZEL Blears, MP for Salford, has taken her campaign to video.

In the race to take over from John Prescott as deputy Labour leader, Hazel has produced three videos on YouTube.

Says Blears: “Growing up in Salford during the 1950s and 60s, everyone knew everything about each other and there was a sense that the community was working together, and that if you worked hard enough anything was within your grasp.”

Now only the State knows all about you, including intimate details you may only have shared with your neighbour if they were a GP. New Labour – New Neighbour.

Hazel is your neighbour. She’s the MP next door.

Hazel is local. Not in the League of Gentlemen way. That would be weird. Hazel is local in a caring, sharing way. She is one of you, whoever you are.

She goes on: “That sense that it shouldn’t matter what advantages or background you had is what made me join the Labour Party.”

Good for Heather. First local, then national, then a job of some sort at the EU. It’s the dream.

Vote Hazel. You local national leader.
